22nd Sept BuySell As highlighted in our previous report released at the end of June 2011, The Company is still in talks with various parties, including BuySell with a view to resolving its outstanding claims. Although progress has been slow because of the complexities of some of the issues, The Company continues to believe that there is a realistic possibility that the talks will be concluded successfully and hopes to be able to make an announcement detailing progress later in 2011. This would clearly be a positive development for the Company and its shareholders. However at this stage the Group still values the BuySell inventory as nil. The Company rescinded six contracts with BuySell, a Bulgarian property development company, on 17 April 2009 due to BuySell's non performance of their contractual duty to deliver completed properties in Sofia to the Company by the due date. As a result of BuySell's non-performance the Company is entitled to claim the repayment of its €9.5 million deposit plus penalties of an additional €9.5 million. A. - Petrolatina Energy Plc, Bogotá, Colombia, DANIEL ROJAS , Petróleos del Norte S.A. -Petrolatina Energy Plc, Bogotá, Colombia.ID: 811961 Upper Cretaceous in the Middle Magdalena Valley- Colombia- South America: "a NewExploratory Target in an Old Mature Basin" Introduction Oil exploration in the Middle Magdalena Valley Basin “MMVB” in north central Colombia, South America has,since its beginnings in 1916, when the Tropical Oil Company drilled the Infantas-1 well in the “De Mares”Concession, (figure 1) traditionally been focused on the search for continental and transitional clastic reservoirsof Cenozoic age. Later in the 50’s and 60’s some companies started drilling deeper looking for LowerCretaceous marine reservoirs, especially those of calcareous composition (i.e. the Totumal field drilled by TexasPetroleum Co.) Few wells were successful in those exploration campaigns of targeted at Lower Cretaceousplays (figure 1). In the past, the oil industry considered the Upper Cretaceous formations both as seal rock forLower Cretaceous reservoirs and as economic basement for Lower Paleocene and Neogene exploratory plays. This paper is based on a detailed review of the geological data of old wells drilled within and near theexploration and production areas contracted by Petrolatina Energy Plc in this Basin (figure 2). In addition, anexhaustive analysis of existing well logs, well tests, pressure data, oil and gas shows, sidewall core samples, andthe study of drilling problems detected in well history reports of these areas was completed. All of thisinformation when assembled and analyzed pointed to UNRECOGNISED OIL potential in the Upper Cretaceous reservoirs of this basin. Based on this concept a stratigraphical and sedimentological analysis was conducted tounderstand and detect reservoirs in the Upper Cretaceous to Lower Paleocene Formations. The basic stratigraphical analysis indicated that an unconformity contact is not present between theMaastrichtian and Lower Paleocene, that interpretation was stated previously in general terms by previousauthors, such as Morales 1958, Rolón & Toro 2003. Based on the interpretation of seismic sequences theabsence of an unconformity between the Maaestrichtian and Paleocene it also confirmed. Seismic interpretationand stratigraphical analysis indicate that an important relative fall of sea level and an increase of sediment supplyhave had implication for the deposition of the reservoir in the Upper Cretaceous in this part of the basin. Tisquirama Association Contract Querubin-1 exploratory well 1st July 2010 Querubin-1 exploratory well The Querubin-1 well is located in the northern, updip portion of the oil producing Los Angeles field. As previously reported, it is situated near the Los Angeles-2 well which was abandoned due to sand plugging problems in the mid 1980's after producing more than 22,000 barrels of oil. Querubin-1 was drilled to a final total depth of 7,000 ft on 11 June 2010. The well was then logged and cased and is currently awaiting the arrival of a work over rig in order to complete it for production. The log analysis indicates that this well contains approximately 164 ft of net oil pay. That is considerably thicker than other previously drilled nearby Los Angeles field wells. The Querubin-1 well will be equipped with a Progressive Cavity Pump (PCP) in order to avoid the sand plugging problems which lead to the premature abandonment of the nearby Los Angeles-2 well. 4th August 2010 Querubin-1 exploratory well The Company's first well drilled outside of the commercial area of the Los Angeles field was successful. This represents a new discovery, and the importance of the Querubin-1 well lies in the fact that it has confirmed the economic viability of a large area of thick oil bearing pay which will, with future drilling, allow this pay to be reclassified as Proven reserves. Querubin-1 is near the 1985 Los Angeles-2 well which, although it found a similar thick oil bearing sand, proved to be non-economic due to problems relating to sand production which damaged the pumping equipment. The development of Progressive Cavity Pumps (PCPs) designed specifically to handle sand production since that time has provided a solution and allowed the economic production of these reserves in the Querubin-1 well. The main Lisama sand was perforated from 6,132ft to 6,335ft measured depth (203ft). The well is now being tested with a PCP and the well is expected to achieve a production rate of 250 bopd of 14° API oil, based on a good fluid level being observed at around 2,500ft. An extended test will be run for a period of 6 months.
