· The Argyle mine, one of the world's largest diamond mines, is the only major diamond deposit found in an early Proterozoic mobile belt. It is hosted by the Argyle AK1 lamproite pipe and lies within the Halls Creek Orogen (HCO) at the southeast margin of the Kimberley Craton in Western Australia ().Archean mobile belts such as the Limpopo Belt contain diamondiferous pipes (
Could be very good news for KDR
The discovery of the kimberlite boulders in the Lahtojoki south exploration permit licence area and the subsequent studies which proved the boulders to be altered hypabyssal kimberlite, a different form of kimberlite from that present in the Lahtojoki deposit, confirms that these boulders are not derived from the Lahtojoki diamondiferous kimberlite pipe.

90,000 carats per single tonne07 Mar 2021 22:47
According to the Geological Survey of Finland (Marja Lehtonen and Kari a. Kinnunena, 2017) mantle rock pebble, xenolith, was discovered in the kimberlite in Lahtojoki that had a spectacular concentration of diamonds – approximately one per cent of the total volume! In carats, this would amount to 90,000 carats per tonne. This diamond-rich sample of eclogite was made of bright orange-red garnet, two different pyrox- ene minerals, and several serpentine minerals. Most of the diamonds previously found at Lahtojoki are colourless, brownish, or yellowy. Rare green, pink, and nearly black diamonds are also present.
The diamonds in Canada are laser engraved with the Polar Bear symbol on their edge. It is likely that a similar practice will be adopted in Finland when diamond production starts. Future Finnish diamonds would probably be marked with a swan or flag symbol.
I am told the 90,000 carats per single tonne (1% Diamonds) is the highest grade ever recorded in the world. How on earth did that not attract more attention. On the face of it, this looks like it may be an absolute genius move by KDR to acquire Lahtojoki. To have had the foresight and enter Finland many years ago and stay the course when most other companies appear to have abandoned the diamond search in Finland for elsewhere , is remarkable for such a small company. I will be watching closely to see what surprise comes next from KDR.

RE: RNS FinancingToday 07:49
It does dilute, of course it does.
But you need money to make money.
There are only 30 mil shares in issue anyway. It is reassuring that raising was done at current SP, so folks could technically buy them on the market.
Warrants at 50p and super warrants at £1, so well above current levels.
If fully exercised, then gives a company another £10 mil. Sounds like Conroy wants to keep a bigger share of pie than 25%, which will benefit all shareholders in the end
Sister company CGNR I WONDER IF WE WILL FOLLOW ? :-}
will sister company follow CGNR lead ? i think it might

Analysis of available data and reports in relation to Lahtojoki suggest that coloured stones could
amount to as much as seven per cent of the diamond content of the deposit and that perhaps three
per cent could be pink diamonds.
Additionally, examination of a pink diamond from the Lahtojoki deposit made available for
inspection by the Company, together with photographs of diamonds from the deposit, indicates that
the pink diamonds in the Lahtojoki deposit are of high quality.
Coloured diamonds, especially pink diamonds, which have recently been achieving very high prices,
are expected to increase further in price due to the closure of the Argyle Mine which has been the
main global source of high quality pink diamonds.
The Company has acquired a Mining Concession over the Lahtojoki diamond deposit in the Kuopio - Kaavi region of Finland, discovered a new kimberlite pipe at Riihivaara in the Kuhmo region of Finland, the first kimberlite pipe discovery in Finland for over ten years and delineated the diamondiferous Seitaperä kimberlite pipe, which at 6.9ha in area, is the largest diamondiferous kimberlite pipe identified to date in Finland.
