The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring financial educator and author Jared Dillian has been released. Listen here.
I called them today and said it may take 10 working days ! No reason was given. I have raised an official complaint. Can someone suggest a broker with their experience?
I think any broker but Barclays would be good. However, switching accounts means selling your share as Barclays apparently won't transfer your stocks to your new broker.
I have not got my dividend paid yet. Has anyone got their dividend? My broker is Barclays.
A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.
There are a few of the posters that I believe do not hold any share in CNE and only post bigot and ****** comments. CNE was trading 125p only a month ago and the SP went north because of the new law passed by the Indian Government. Nothing else and I mean nothing else changed for SP to rise by 40%. The Arbitration award was already there, the court case was proceeding as usual. So if the deal was not reached the CNE would have crashed back to £1.25. I fail to believe there are genuine shareholders who are willing to wait for 5 years for this case to go through all appeal processes, sell India's overseas property and then recover the cost. I also believe that the Indian Government should have paid CNE interest, legal fees and also compensate CNE for a loss but as a shareholder not prepared to play hardball with India and wait for another 5 years. I want CNE to use this cash judiciously to grow the company. If someone is unhappy here with the BOD decision then sell their holding and find another opportunity where their views are aligned with the management. After all there are 349 other companies.
There are some people so negative. Has no idea on legal matters and how negotiation works and want to reject this great opportunity to move. I believe they are traders who got out with a meagre profit and were looking to re-enter again at a lower price. They just spread negativity and has nothing else to offer except bashing India. No real shareholder will even in a nightmare think of rejecting this opportunity. As far as India is concerned their economy grew by 20% in the first quarter and a few disgruntle posters would not change the international sentiment about it.
I believe this will be £4 by the end of September. 499,267,656 share in circulation. 700000000 to be returned so each shareholder will get£1.40. That means cairns with another 390 million in cash to develop the current project will be £2.60 in my opinion. DYOR but I don't see any complication here either it will be bought for this price or one is likely to get this return anyway. It may even go higher if oil climb up as being predicted by some bulls to $100. I would any day be invested in cairn then enq or tullow or HBR. I also believe our management is risk aversed so feel it is a pretty safe investment. DYOR.
I must say LSE should report its user to authorities, who try to ramp or deramp a share for their benefit. It should be considered market manipulation as many of the readers of these forums may act on their manipulated posts. This news about collaboration is from last year and has no rhyme or reason to be posted today.
Market makers are simply killing share like Deepmatter. Buy price 3p sell price 2.6 which is just about 15%. This is plain ridiculous and must have regulation on this kind of spread.
I spoke to Barclays as I couldn't buy and they said they are not trading in this share as it deals in cannabis! They have no qualms about BAT though.
A “short squeeze” that started on Wall Street swept across the globe on Wednesday, triggering another day of frenetic moves in the share prices of companies with large bets levied against them.
companies including GameStop, the hard-hit cinema owner AMC and BlackBerry surged in a volatile day of trading.
The dramatic moves highlight the growing influence of retail traders, who have organised on the message board site Reddit. The group has focused on pushing up stocks that are the subject of large short bets by hedge funds. Their success in rallying the stock price of GameStop has vindicated a group now targeting companies on both sides of the Atlantic.
It will have bad week as Nigeria situation is pretty bad. Hold tight guys.
Small movement of price like this is expected in otherwise a very volatile market. This is not isolated to GSK , AZN and HIK is down too. One thing is for sure Covid vaccine is going to have some hiccups ( due to other Bioitech trying untested technology) and scepticism among many people, then will come the great daddy of all GSK with all the experience and infrastructure in place. Also one should not forget that there will be roughly 3 billions x2 dosage will be needed and it will be in multiple steps on the top of that this is likely to remain in community like oflu and would require seasonal vaccine. Now all this information does not make you have confidence in GSK then good luck but I have a gut feeling this is GSK's time and it will surpass every stocks in the world but some patience is needed .
Nofear , I am surprised with capita SP. As you are invested in both Cineworld and Capita. and done extensive research on both the companies, what is your opinion ? Even from Debt point of view Capita is slightly better then Cineworld. They are still getting business and still CPI price is just sliding. Anyone who I talk to has positive outlook for CPI even fools thought that this is one of the best recovery share. Do you think SP is artificially low to benefit some insider like other members here and it would go north in a blink ? I got out yesterday but i still feel it will pay rich dividends to it share holder and anyone who has patience.
I think this is the bottom, as price has already been factored in ( and I think it is overly estimated for the revenue loss for q3 due to lockdown ). The only way is upward from now. I believe it will finish at 1425 by end of today's trading and then the momentum will pick up. GLA. DYOR
Sak I know your frustration but lot of unscrupulous people manipulate market until get caught and then again the same cycle start. Despite of that I am hopeful that we would reach there. GSK is too resellient for some trader to do much harm. Every thing going good for the company and it is going to strike gold with multiple trial currently going on . If it registered profit at q3 then there is no turning back for it share . Vaccine programme will restart at lightening pace as combination of covid and shingle can be fatal in elderly as one of the covid effect is on nervous system and immuno suppression either by treatment or virus itself can cause severe shingle so health authority better make sure that target audience is given shingle vaccine as top most priority. The only worry which is not really huge for me is whether Q£ results has been leaked and that's why the share price is languishing like never before but even in this case the future is only bright even in short term as once the election is over all uncertainty goes away even If Biden win the policy would not change much as all election rhetoric will calm down. Lets hope for best and we all have good week.
I think it will end up at 1650 by end of this week. We just need to be patient.
I have been patiently waiting for this to move. I found Nofear East and Reg very positive people but value stocks are painful game. With regards to 10 million shares, I don't think do too much to a company like capita. it is just 2.5 million pounds . Even Bert would agree that real value of capita is somewhere around 2 Billion. Significant change of price require one or two large firms to trade . As a matter of fact the price moved up by 3 %. I am tired of watching capita so sold it toady at 26.59
as outlook looks grim in near future although I may come back again at 23-24 mark. Hope all of you guys have good day.
I dip in dip out. I will come back at 1200- 1250p which it is likely to hit this week by the trend.
Got out making a loss of 3000. It will slide back to 1200 and then to 800 by the look of it. Better to nurse a small loss then stick to this as there seems to be more going on then what meets the eye.
