RC - my point was more hes unlikely to have 100k sitting around as cash. Why should he have to sell other investments to be able to buy in now? He could well have tax implications from it.

Hes just over 2 weeks into the job and has already turned around two RNS. Hes busy enough at the moment

Rosewall - They're paying out the maximum dividend that they're allowed to, and accruing the rest.

They've not decided to 'only' pay out 0.57p, they're required to pay out a maximum of 0.57p and could have paid out a lot less

Read the RNS.

Theyre continuing to acrue the dividends and paying out the max they're allowed.

That means they're building up a pot of the divis theyre not allowed to pay

If we're managing it then we've not found as much as we'd have liked.

If its looking anywhere near Hav then Newcrest will want to take over and dig the crap out of it too

Can you imagine where our SP would have ended up if we hadn't still got Haverian? Probably a very similar situation to when Newcrest walked and we dropped 70%.

fr4nky - If you haven't paid into any other ISAs this year you could open a stocks and share ISA with HL. Otherwise you'd need to get their fund and share account which is taxable on profits
