States circular for GM will be sent out today. GM proposed date is the 24yh of Jan.

Congrats :) - A long way to go yet, this is just getting started. With the cash being raised, Simon Fry and the new board, we just need to wait for them to reveal what they've been working on behind the scenes. Calvert obviously wouldn't continue to buy if it was junk.

Most likely, AGM tomorrow and I imagine if everything is approved we will then see an increased interest as that's when the real news will start to flow. I can't see their proposals not being approved as it's in the best interest for all parties including shareholders.

I think one of the things that has been overlooked here is that capability of recently proposed Executive Chairman Simon Fry. Then look at the other appointments, Jean-Pascal Tranié and Felipe Simonsen. They all have been in top tier companies with high positions, dealing with billions. I think these appointments speak volumes, I know Simon is the principal investment advisor of Calvert but the fact that they're continuing to buy shares in MCC, for me means that they already have a very good idea on what they're going to do here. You simply do not invest so much money into a company at premium prices for no reason when you have that amount of experience that they have.

I tend to agree. Why go through the trouble of changing the investing policy without having a list of potential investments already lined up?

True - I made a mistake and bought in on the hype as a sheer punt an hour before the news articles started appearing. Initially I was going to sell for a small profit, then the news came and thought i'll keep them a little longer. Then bang can't sell. More frusterated with myself than anything as I don't usually go into a stock like this. Lesson learnt. Wheres the two stevens from earlier?? They were very upbeat but haven't heard a peep.

So he's saying that negotiations with an investor that was going to give little to no value to shareholders has dropped out and they're now in talks that will? Hmmmm......id prefer to think i've lost the punt money I put in and if next week something positive happens then ill use that to celebrate. :)

Well it looks like that's it, done, no cash. I just can't believe the timing of the news stories that went around and the sustained rises for several days. Surely there should have been a suspension either earlier or an RNS stating no reason for a rise, etc. The guy who lost 18k here, christ, there must be countless others here with in excess of 10K as seen it on lvl 2 for days.
