I am pleased to confirm that, as expected, we have now turned the corner into profitability. I can report that the Group's bottom line Total Comprehensive Income is £0.255 million for the period, an improvement of £0.822 million on last year's Interim results (2012: loss of £0.567 million). The Profit Before Tax increased by £1.022 million in the six months to £0.305 million (31 December 2012: loss of £0.717 million). The encouraging news is that this improvement was not solely driven by the cost reduction exercise we undertook last year but also, more importantly, by a significant growth in sustainable income. Both Conister Bank Limited and our Isle of Man based Independent Financial Advisor (IFA) subsidiary, Edgewater Associates Limited, delivered a much improved financial performance.

I bought 2 small holdings this morning, it's one to watch out for as low shares in issue and market cap is stupid. The Company has adequate financial resources. In considering the ability of the Company to continue as a Going Concern the directors have considered the Company cashflow forecasts. These cashflow forecasts indicate that the Company has sufficient resources to meet its ongoing operating expenses into the foreseeable future. It also has resources to invest in other opportunities if they were to arise and if investment was considered appropriate by the Directors and therefore the Directors are of the view that the Company still has an on-going trade as an investment company even though there is uncertainty associated with the going concern of its subsidiary company, Puma Hotels Plc ("PHP") as disclosed in further detail in Note 11. PHP has no recourse to the Company which is solvent and able to continue trading even in the absence of any income generated from its investment in PHP and as a consequence, the Directors believe that the Company is well placed to manage its business risks satisfactorily and have concluded that it is appropriate to prepare these financial statements on a going concern basis.

If they were going to buy the entire holding the company will be worth peanuts and if that was the case why didn't they just buy it when the SP was 1p- A lot of ifs and buts I'm happy to hold

I'm sure you mean well but it was a good investment when the price was rising and you selling at 200% profit and all of a sudden it's a bad investment at current price ??- I'm not suggesting anything but one will look at previous post and current post and compare. I still trying to come to terms why they would buy at 5p if apparently the company is worth no more than a couple of pennies ... Whether its RTO or TO (buy majority it has to be 51%+) their will need to be more buying/stake holding . Previously they bought at 1p because that was the share price at the time. As I said (2p) risk. VS. reward (many multiples of current price) I see more reward. I could sell at profit but happy to hold maybe its because I'm more of a gambler and see upward trend (not suggesting) ATB

If they have a potential buyer the business is worth a lot of money and any sale will be much higher than directors price. Happy to hold & buy more when given chance as risk vs reward- Reward is more likely
