I signed a petition lead from here years back to ban the short. Obviously didn’t go very far. It’s pure gambling that leads to match fixing and other bad behaviours. Ban it simple. Flip side is the big % drop and bounce would means traders can’t really trade as they do. Shares I assume would be less volatile. So AIM has its place but ban shorting on main markets ftse.
