Shorters target companies like AFC that had an overzealous CEO that promised a lot but delivered nothing but hot air and promises, and talked his followers up into a frenzy that they always believed (and some still do) that a bumper RNS was going to materialise out of thin air when the reality is they can’t even sell one power tower.

CN your logic is flawed yet again, how is your theory different to a large holder just deciding to offload a large shareholding that causes other shareholders to panic sell or get caught by stop losses ? I’ll tell you, none whatsoever !

If shorting was banned it wouldn’t miraculously make AFC successful other than add another 1-2p onto the share price. Focus on AFCs lies and ability to commercialise anything rather than shorting activity. As has been posted this week, Geopura are doing it, Bond only ever talked about doing it ‘in the future’, he was a costly mistake for AFC and should have been booted out years ago.

It’s not out of AFCs control, if you’ve ever been involved with CE marking you would know that. If the testing house find issues that would prevent the issuing of the CE mark it is up to AFCs to make the necessary design changes.

Reading about Geopura you get the impression that Bond had zero clue on the direction the company should take having paid consultants to tell him where AFC should focus, which turned out to be EV charging, which never got off the ground, so he decides to copy what Geopura are doing, move into construction and a buy a mobile hydrogen refuelling truck. Geez that guy got huge bonuses for copying another companies strategy and failing at every turn.

What an opportunity this was for Speedy to demonstrate AFC tech, not a hydrogen fuel cell in site in what was once a market segment AFC were targetting. You have to ask yourselves why…what is going wrong ? I suspect it’s a fuelling issue, too easy to get diesel, too difficult to get hydrogen to the sites with only one hydrogen delivery truck.

Management and supply of fuel was also paramount in ensuring the masts continued to perform and provide the critical cover for mobile communications in the most effected areas. Teamwork at its very best with people demonstrating a willingness and commitment to support a key client, well done all involved !

Melv, Jgbb loves whatever AFC do, good, bad, right, wrong, it’s all super news to him regardless. AFC going into administration would be wonderful news to Jgbb, he would wish them all well and hope they all find wonderful new jobs, nothing bad ever happens at AFC Inc. !

What I love about this tech is that it gives waste plastic a value which means it will no longer be thrown away but people will actively collect it, more so than some already do.

Although it says Dixon Clarke has decided to pursue other activities it’s clear as day he was pushed. Every company I’ve worked at, new CEO = new CFO. Also what stands out is no handover period, another clear sign the new CEO wants to bring in his own team, and let’s face it, who wouldn’t given AFC’s atrocious performance to date.

Good to see Dixon Clarke gone, his position was untenable for me after he went along with Bonds lies over the non committed order book, I mean pipeline, I mean….

Yeah Melv, you know full well AFC had £27m of orders and that was ages ago now and with the hockey stick sales curve it’s probably closer to £70-£80m now 😂. They’ve had to ditch their plans to build in house as they couldn’t cope with the demand.

Hmm let’s have a think, Bond said they would release value for shareholders with the ammonia cracker in the near term, hadn’t happened. For years we were told a growing order book, on the glidepath to sales, accelerating towards sales, there is a hockey stick sales curve, and in all those years we’ve delivered one order to ourselves. Is it any wonder Helikon have increased their short ?

In the investor meet Gary Bullard stated the £4m was almost entirely unit sales into the JV therefore none or virtually no rental income. I’m not sure what you are trying to ascertain.
