Chris Heminway, Exec-Chair at Time To ACT, explains why now is the right time for the Group to IPO. Watch the video here.
“Cowichan has been very proactive in finding good news about Centamin, but I suspect he just got tired of not getting answers to is questions and enduring the way the share price languishes”
Tibbs, I’m sure Cowichan was ‘very’ good at finding good news when he was invested here. However, his present engagement lacks any enduring commitment, as he merely lingers to propagate negative comments, which in all likelihood, will be transformed into effusive praise once he acquires a position. 😏 So, there’s no enduring anything, he’s not invested. Resentment festers and behaviour like this is often attributed to the innate human tendency to recoil from feelings of powerlessness, leading individuals to seek avenues to assert themselves and retaliate. It appears that this board has become his figurative punching bag. If his conduct with Centamin mirrors this approach, then it becomes unsurprising that the company has been evasive in addressing inquiries.
Cowichan: “I talk about a Centamin and the country which it operates in”
Well, I don’t know a single investor that dedicates all their posts and time to a board where they have no financial investment. I know not a single investor/trader that acts that way, none of us on this board exclusively focus on another board where we have no financial commitment, why would we? Naturally, such behavior raises questions about your underlying motives.
Cowichan: “You simply talk about me”
Given your peculiar behavior, it is only natural to speculate about a vendetta, perhaps stemming from your past negative experience with Centamin, or perhaps you had a disappointing vacation to Egypt 😂. My intention is not to launch a personal attack, but rather to observe and analyse this pattern of conduct and behaviour. There is no need for me to tarnish your credibility, as your actions and posts here already provide ample evidence and you’re doing a fine job running your own smear campaign. As Radiohead sang “you do it to yourself, you do…and that’s what really hurts”

I understand your sentiment, Siko. It appears that Cowichan has consistently posted on a board which he holds no financial interest in, 40 times over the past month. The content of these posts has predominantly been negative and occasionally relies on unfounded information and hearsay. One can only surmise that he might harbor a personal grudge or vendetta against Centamin, as it seems ‘unlikely’ for someone to invest such significant time and effort on a board without any underlying motive.
Cowichan has forgotten to mention that at some point in the distant future the earth will be consumed by the star at the centre of its solar system. The impact that this calamitous event will have on Egypt and Centamin will be disastrous.
I concur with Siko's observation. It is quite peculiar for a non-investor to linger on a board without any investment, merely to make disparaging remarks. The envisioned transformation in Egypt, which Cowichan is anticipating, appears distant. However, it seems that his true intention is not to advocate for change in Egypt but rather to generate pessimism and seize an advantageous position at the cost of others.
Tibbs, reminiscing about the past can be a tempting exercise, one must acknowledge that mere discussions won't alter the current reality that management is achieving their desired projections, while significantly reducing waste. The implementation of Horgan's strategies appears to be progressing seamlessly as per the intended plan. 2023 year holds the promise of a remarkable development in the form of the discovery of underground bonanza high grades and the seamless integration of these findings into the underground mining plan has the potential to yield a substantial increase in output for the year 2024, potentially surpassing the projected 500,000 oz by an impressive 50-100k oz. As a consequence of these developments, the opportunity to invest at this juncture is obviously an enticing prospect. Centamin finds itself amidst a period of growth, with a convergence of accomplishments and promising prospects that make it a particularly appealing and opportune moment for investors seeking to capitalize on the company's positive trajectory. Exciting stuff, we’ll see…one morning we’ll wake up to an RNS and Boom!
In the words of John "Hannibal" Smith “I love it when a plan comes together” and ‘Hannibal Horgan’ has put together an A-team that is capable of it.
Tibbs and Cowichan, you make quite a team these days, your collaboration, synergy & exaggerated negativity really complement each other. Remind me of the name given to would be investors that catastrophize to undermine sentiment. No, I’ve got it …it’s ‘Downramping’.
Tibbs, it’s quoting the end of the article you posted…’a different perspective’ https://tinyurl.com/mpkavvhk
And a different perspective “ Centamin shareholders have received a total shareholder return of 29% over one year. And that does include the dividend. That's better than the annualised return of 1.4% over half a decade, implying that the company is doing better recently. In the best case scenario, this may hint at some real business momentum, implying that now could be a great time to delve deeper.”
I concur, Cowichan. Astute traders would invariably conduct thorough research, considering both positive and negative news before making investment decisions. When a trader delves into discussions concerning companies they have no vested interest in, it raises curiosity about their motives.
Your comment, 'I've observed certain individuals posting critical remarks about other companies in which they have vested interests,' underscores a crucial point – when individuals are not invested in a particular company, and everyone else has diligently examined and chosen to invest in Centamin, it should come as no surprise that their demeanor might appear unusually off-center and cranky to Centamin investors.
I can understand the troll remark from 007. Cowichan, I think I read you’re not invested in Centamin, is that right? Then why hangout on the board? Perhaps you have a bit of a vendetta against the company. It does come across as troll like behaviour, perhaps you don’t see that? Unless you’re considering getting in again and hoping to contribute a pessimistic outlook to the board, hoping to save a few pennies.
If 480,000 ounces is in the “Spitoon of the Last stop saloon”…then I’d say someone else might like to get on the Cowichan bandwagon and get a better position too, Tibbs. Might Cowichan’s ‘balanced discussion’ simply be a poor facade for his true intentions and only feign compassion for fellow investors, it feels disingenuous.
Cowichan, your anti-Centamin/Egypt rhetoric is almost pathological. I’m interested in what’s driving that, what happened to you here, did you lose a lot of cash, or are you hoping to influence the price so you can take a position. I can’t think of any other reason you’d waste so much time on this board. Or, is it that Saint Cowichan is so overwhelmed with compassion for investors, that he is on a mission to enlighten them…I doubt it. 😇😅
Hey Del, it is an interesting stock for sure, but very speculative. TBH it's very easy to say that you want to pay a dividend, doing it is a completely different prospect. A lot of people got caught at the top (not me) of this P&D. Perhaps with real news in the future this holds some prospect, but short term I don't think so. Though I have had a punt! :)
