You could always put the non essential wine down at this early stage in the afternoon and do something constructive about your energy prices instead, such as buy some solar panels or insulation. Plenty of ways to reduce your "to expensive to live here" costs. Maybe even Do some forward planning for a change like you carp on about on here in every post, rather than just moan your keyboard off cussing and blaming just about everybody else for your situation.

He's good billy. i met up with him for a few beers a few weeks back and Kens had a few with him since too, doing OK.

you did billy but your not the only one im sure. I dropped a fair few of mine, 38k (they owed me 281) for a very good profit, still hold around 47k at similar buy price outside of isa but as we have hit both the wifes and my CG allowances for the year anyway that will have to do for now.
Like you i had far to much here in one stock so, whilst missing an additional £45k approx profit on the sold ones, im sleeping more easily at night and able to spread the cash around a bit better. The held ones continue to do very well, shall reduce again but keep a core holding.
Cash in the pocket is never a bad thing.
