As i said level, good to hear the whole industry is now aware of their waste, a very slick glib article on the site you found there, promising the earth.

But no answer to the 12% of sold items being thrown away, is there? And no actual updated BOO run survey giving any contradicting or better figures than the last one they ran.

Wonder why they dont run these annually? would be quite simple, and give them EVIDENCE to wave about with some real life data, rather than a load of glib web site slides.

Hopefully an improved situation now, but this 2021 article, where BoOHOo surveyed their own customers and state:-

"We’ve engaged with our customers extensively through focus groups and a recent survey, that received over 14,500 responses, to understand their attitudes to textile waste.

"What they tell us is that the price they pay does not determine how long they keep an item of clothing and 88 per cent said that they use either charity shops or resale sites as a responsible form of disposable, throwing an item away is an absolute last resort for them."

So certainly, at that time, using BOo's own words and survey, it would suggest 12% of all SOLD ITEMs are unrecycled and simply thrown away, either to landfill or incinerator. Far far higher than the 3% claimed.

And 80% made from NEW plastic as well.

Hopefully this has improved somewhat since.
