A takeover is always a possibility but hopefully will not happen. Not surprisingly the share price has seen extreme volatility recently with a massive rise and dramatic pull back but it has been the same across the sector so not unique to ITM. The difference, to my mind at least, is that this is a proper company with world class tech and products and now management. £5bn market cap should be at the lower end of expectations for medium to long term investors.

Healthy profit taking as one would expect but long term fundamentals very much intact.

Have paid between 5p and 250p over the years. Always felt this could be a £10BN business and am now more convinced than ever. Very impressed with the current management and their strategy. Once Trump is out of the way the potential in the US is huge. The great news for holders in the short term is the price is reacting so well to positive news flow and there is likely to be a lot more this year as FIDS come through.

Last time a director sold in such size the shares subsequently rose x 6!

Rather like five years ago the broking fraternity appear to be reactive when it comes to price targets. US names suddenly raising from 45/50p to nearly £2. Expect this trend to continue as FIDs close in the coming weeks.

I see some comments have been posted likening ITM to Rolls Royce whose shares collapsed and then started to rally on the back of news relating to the potential of portable nuclear reactors. The shares have since risen 15 x despite nothing notable happening on the latter. Obviously a completely different company and product offering but if they can hit the target of 1GW in the next 5 years the upside would be similar so imagine it it is more. One to lock away and hold for the long term and to pick up on any weakness. The management are a serious and successful team.

Like London buses the contracts won from customers through Hydropulse will all come at once. When, not if, this happens one suspects long term investors in ITM will get their just rewards. Investing is a long term game when investing in this type of company. If one wants to see hype have a look at the madness across the pond in the AI theme and crypto.

I rarely comment on this board but note someone has posted a statement about ITM choking and that it has been for years. That is not something I recognise. Indeed the opposite would appear to be true. The business looks to be at an inflection point, no longer relying on government subsidies for growth, and with a management team team in place looking to emulate the model which has served Linde so well over many decades. With no debt and old unprofitable contracts being replaced with ones on higher margins and cash generative the future looks to be very bright indeed.

Both stocks look very interesting and should survive the brutal sell off across the hydrogen sector since it peaked in 20/21 . Would argue ITM, as a manufacturer of best in class PEM electrolysers , is ahead on the long term upside in respective share prices from here.

It is correct to state that a succession of project based contracts with no FID made yet does not guarantee revenue for ITM. However, the sheer scale of announcements made in recent weeks puts the company in a very strong position. Long term investors should be very happy to see the shorts loading up. It worked for them from £7 down just as it will work for everyone else from 26p up.

Spending review irrelevant to ITM’s future. This is a global leader in an industry about to take off which is, after 20 years, finally generating cash. Short term fluctuations for sure but rock solid foundations now in place with two world class experts running the company.

The rally was seeded when management announced the business was generating cash for the first time. This removed the fears spread by both shorters and some analysts that ITM could run out of funds before growth sets in. Add in the steady stream of new projects/orders one can see the share price move to 5 x cash quite quickly ie 160/70p. In retrospect, as others have rightly pointed out, the price should never have gone so low.

ITM is a multi billion pound company still in its infancy. The biggest risk to all shareholders is not the price going down after the recent rally but rather the business being taken out for a song. Sometimes patience is rewarded and this is the ultimate case in point. With positive cash flow and £200m in cash, 5 x cash would be a fair current valuation. You can work out the maths.

Just to be clear, the stacks are made to order ie the ones in the pictures already ordered!

For those doubting that recent announcements of new contracts will lead to positive FIDs one only need look at recent photos taken from the factory floor in Sheffield. It looks jammed full of stacks. Two years ago it was pretty much empty. Enough said.

With new contracts being announced weekly it is now becoming credible to believe what the CEO has been saying about massive growth opportunities and a burgeoning pipeline. Having had a one way bet on the way down one suspects the shorters can now make hay in the sun with a one way bet in the opposite direction.

Having been besieged by short sellers over the last 3 years momentum could easily swing back the other way. One should not underestimate the positive catalyst for a long term loss making business like ITM when it starts to generate cash particularly when new contracts are being won on a regular basis.

Suspect shares are now at the complete reverse level as when they hit £7 in that the cash is now worth more than the market cap. Making predicting on future levels of any company’s share price can be a mugs game but it would be surprising to say the least were the ITM price not significantly higher this time next year.

I haven’t posted here for a couple of years but the significance of this contract should not be underestimated. As the bubble in Meme stocks pops next year ITM could have a really strong year as the long term potential of their business as never gone away it was just hibernation as investors turned their back on the hydrogen revolution. It is always hard to work out where a share price might go in the short term but £2 might well be a low bar for the next 12 months if enthusiasm is rekindled on the back of this. One has to remember the company still has loads of cash.
