Scallywag was over-hyped, over ramped and with very poor results (even with pathfinder geology) killed sentiment here and with the wider market....only temporary of course IMHO because now any further strikes outside of Havieron are fully understood and seen as very low chance of success....district scale discoveries in the Paterson be it via GGP or others will bring back sentiment and we will see Havieron reach it's true value and beyond with the continued drill bit execution!

So in summary because of the 78% tax rebates we can enjoy "Low risk but very high rewards"

No guarantees of course but I like the risk/ratio reward...I like it a lot!

@haggis_trap....Exactly!!!...So much cheaper (given the 78% Norwegian Govt tax refunds) than buying production assets if of course we are successful...and that's even when you add on all the additional appraisal drilling costs should we hopefully strike!

We are now an active player in the market....as the RNS states one of just 38 companies licenced to hold oil and gas assets (approval now just a formality) on the NCS versus over 130 companies licenced in the UK...such significance should not be understated....IMHO a massive springboard to greater opportunities and see Longboat rapidly transform in to a full-cycle, North Sea E&P company...the strategy we have always been promised...holding long and strong! GLA

Was thinking, because GGP are actively looking for a farm-in partner (as indicated by SD) and the CEO stating drilling commencing early next year so possibly an incoming RNS with licences approved along with a new partner maybe!. Time will of course reveal the plans!

Does anyone know when we will get confirmation of the two new licences applied for back at the end of March (2021) ?

The two Exploration Licence applications of Mount Smith (E38/3612) and Welstead Hill (E38/3613) cover a total area of 1,070km2 bringing the current land size of 880km2 at EG up to 1950km2.

The most recent corporate presentation still states Ernest Giles as 880km2.
