British Airways owner IAG said its profit rose by 56% in the three months to the end of September as bosses hailed strong performances on its North and South Atlantic routes.
The business said pre-tax profit rose from just over one billion euro (£879 million) in the third quarter of last year to 1.6 billion euro (£1.4 billion) in the most recent quarter.

More than three quarters (76%) of people plan to spend at least as much money on travel in 2024 as they have done in the past 12 months, according to a survey.
Nearly half (45%) of those surveyed by Censuswide said holidays were their number one spending priority over the next 12 months, ahead of home and garden renovations (30%), eating and drinking out (28%) and spending on clothes, shoes and accessories (27%).
According to the “travel tracker” report, published by travel company Travel Counsellors, over a third (38%) of people surveyed said they value holidays more since the coronavirus pandemic and 23% feel more motivated to get out and explore the world.
More than two out of five people (43%) say they are likely to book an overseas holiday before Christmas, a new survey has suggested.
A poll of 2,301 UK adults commissioned by travel protection scheme Atol indicated the average spend per trip is expected to be £2,427.
Some 30% of respondents planning a foreign trip said they intend to spend at least £3,000 while 7% believe they will lay out more than £5,000.
The PSE test will be immediately available to men in the UK using the US testing facility to process results initially. OBD is in the process of obtaining ISO15189 certification for a clinical lab within its Oxford, UK laboratory. Once certified, expected early in 2024, precision medicine tests, like EpiSwitch PSE, will be run there - shortening the overall turnaround time for results. Will make a difference when this is granted.

Budget airline Ryanair cut its passenger growth forecast for the full year to 183.5 million (PA) (PA Wire)
Ryanair flew 18.7 million passengers in July, shattering previous monthly records, as Brits sought to escape the rain at home despite dangerous heat in much of Europe.
The total was up 11% from July 2022 and marked the first time the Irish carrier has flown 18 million passengers in a month. Its flights were 96% sold, the same load factor as in July 2022.
If I was a substantial shareholder, I would be very very angry about this, and would have demanded that CS resign with immediate effect. Your words and you are not a substantial shareholder, now stop spreading fear and rubbish.

Share Price Movement & Update
Eurasia Mining plc has noted the adverse movement in the Company's share price yesterday, following announcement of the trade yesterday for 27,400,000 shares by Alexei Churakov (the "Shares"). Eurasia had received no notification of this trade prior to it being reported by Alexei Churakov himself via RNS on 27 January 2021.
The Company and its professional advisers continue to work on the Formal Sale Process as recently reported via RNS of 14 January 2021. The operations of the Company are ongoing with the DFS for West Kytlim formally approved as announced on 21 January 2021.
The Company has made initial enquiries of Alexei Churakov regarding the sale of the Shares, and he has now notified the Company that:
· he sold the Shares to cover an urgent and critical cash call,
· all the Shares were acquired by Veles International ("Veles"), a subsidiary of an investment company Veles Capital,
· he has no intention to sell his remaining shares and/or options.
The Company is continuing with these enquiries.
The Company notes that the acquisition by Veles evidences interest in Eurasia among institutional shareholders. Veles is a well-established and one of the oldest professional institutional investors in Russia.
