I was also looking for an airport test when back so I can be free the next day. This lets me be free before I leave the airport.

Yes for schools and other places, same as now. No one said LFTs are being abandoned altogether, but try to get your hear around the numbers of flights into the UK per week and even at half full x that by 150 people. That is a lot of LFTs that will not be used due to UK gov looking for the variant.

I read by another poster, this will not effect the amount of LFT being used, aw so the millions of LFTs being used for travel will be up taken where to compensate. I want ODX and GDR to do well, but need to be realistic.

Stephen, the rise on Friday did take me by surprise, as I too think the FDA thing must surely be gone. But some one it seems must have known that Boris was going to state that PCR test for returning travellers. Yes the POC is due, but it has been due for over a year now. I am going a cruise and was checking out covid tests and stuff for that, one of Royal Caribbean smaller entities had 2 of the Abott pcr POC kit on board and the result was in 15 mins. What did DB say about BC on the last conference call thing? If the POC was outstanding, PCR looks to be back in favour in a big way, for now. Might be that sentiment back, however making that transition into sales has yet to be seen. If I could free up money on Monday, it would go into NCYT which I don't own any shares in (had £300k worth at less than a £1 early 2020 and sold on the Monday it opened up 80% but for 50% as the price decreased, through the day, we know how that ended up. So although I have an opinion, its not done me well.

Obv you will get a code for your passenger locator form that relates to a pcr test. They need PCR to track the new variant. Listen I have bought a LFT for travel returning 19 Dec, so I feel I have lost that cash on a wasted test.

Yes it will be a big day as Uk stocks will fall at least another 2% on fears and PCR testing companies will gain. No reason for gene drive to rise as it has a LFT, which is not on the approved list, not being used for NHS and travel has now went to PCR.
