Glad u back savvy (permission for bottom lip to wobble sir)? ;) Hold for gold as someone once said..
Yep good point trend, brexit deal looking most likely.
Ahh bad luck GM, I still have a decent holding there, but I’m sure our gains here will dwarf our other holdings in terms of % increase- my syme bb has more green boxes than a branch of Clark’s shoes these days lol..
1st time poster, been in syme since 0.004 the first time round, invested the money I made doing a 2nd job in lockdown into here, have wobbled more than once, you’ve pretty much been the main reason I held my nerve& stayed in here savvy when all the derampers were hammering away& the sp was sliding. So glad you were here keeping all our peckers up! Here’s hoping for a good Xmas and happy syme year! GLA onwards& upwards! (Hey guitarman, nice to see u here).
Getting approval ‘within days’ :)
..or a brexit deal! Back to the grey goose!
You could argue it’s partly a correction from the big dip the other day, and judging by the nice buys perhaps some of the big investors see this as a safer long term bet at the moment than a lot of other 250 companies? Or maybe that’s a load of old rubbish lol, I’m just happy it’s rising!
Yeh bit of a strange one that, it’ll be all part of their overall strategy for the uk. It’s always worth emailing them if you have any concerns, companies will often get back to you. If I’m not back on here have a good Xmas everyone and hopefully a prosperous 2021! Take care all :))
LTH here so these antics are of no interest really, off for more Prosecco.. :)
Cheers trend. Apparently the transit thing - securing contracts to bus staff to and from large companies is something NEX are looking to get more into, they already have a contract to take all Facebook staff to& from their headquarters so that sounds really positive. As more companies strive to fulfill their promises to become carbon neutral, one electric bus is defo going to tick a big box compared to several dozen cars! Hold those shares guys, we’ll get where we all know this is going eventually :)
The Times newspaper 18/12/20.
‘Last month the group said that it had secured the equivalent of 70% of last year’s monthly revenues in October, up from 60% in August and against its initial target of 50%. It has also continued to win contracts, including 2 each in the UK and Portugal and one in California.
Having borne the initial start up costs of the new academic year in the US, NEX last month guided investors to expect underlying earnings before interest and other items of between £170m and £190m. That is a shadow of last years £510m but shows that the company is successfully managing to trade through the crisis.
Mr Garat, a former executive at FedEx inherits a company with tight cost controls and leading positions in each of its chosen markets. It also has plenty of room to grow, in particular in the ‘transit’ market for transporting workers. It is mindful of the move to green energy, buying no more diesel buses and converting its fleet time to electric or hydrogen vehicles.
The shares, at 245p are way below their 438p level of July last year when this column recommended buying them. But they are cheap, trading at 10.5 times Citi’s forecast earnings for a prospective yield when the dividend returns, possibly in 2022, of 4.6%.
Those who can live without the income until then should take advantage.
Has a good article in today on NEX apparently, has them down as a buy. My folks are saving it for me, I’ll put any interesting snippets on here tomorrow.
Larry- nooooo! Lol. I can’t see them stopping commuting- the tier system will remain until vaccines are more widely rolled out (which the government need to get a bloody move on with)..
Lmao, don’t use the r- word! D’oh..
U cursed that one Larry Grayson! Lol
Don’t forget the laugh.. Muahahaha! ;)
Positivity on the back of the potentially imminent U.S. vaccine rollout? Strange one..
Ha, best of luck to you, I’m out of topping up money so I don’t want anything of the sort, but if I had I’d probably say the same lol
Haha, have a word with yourself..!
Pretty fair guesstimate I’d say, good positive day :)
