of course, I meant to type "handsomely"...
"...glow in the dark is fading..."
Don't worry, the "herd around the corner" will soon polish it up again :-)
The only people who will make money out of a secured loan is the BoD who will continue to pay themselves handomely.
Surely 'the herd is just around the corner' and 'this is glowing in the dark'?
I've had T-shirst made with these staements just to remind me.
No one's mentioned 'glowing in the dark', or 'the herd is just round the corner' yet.
Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
TRP had the seismic survey reports, as did Repsol. They knew how deep they had to drill and anyone with any knowledge would have added a contingency. I could have popped down there with a DeWalt battery drill and achieved the same results for, say, 25% of the costs....
No due-dilligence on the drilling company/equipment? It was a brand-new rig commissioned for the task!
I've just come back to this ghost ship aka TRP and see a lot of similar hype which surrounded the previous debacle.
TRP, having ripped off it's AIM shareholders through rights issues and consolidation, have now found a new sacrificial lamb. This one has a healthy bank balance which can keep TRP directors going for a few more years.
To see a share value 'rise' just because a drilling ship has left port absolutely enforces the point that this is pure gambling without any certainty of a positive result. Sucking in more punters willig to raise the stakes in AIM-based poker. At least online casinos now have some sort of limit.
For the benefit of all here, does anyone have the actual proven FACTS about this latest crusade? I'm not interested that the drilling rig has docked in Singapore and taken on 2,000 Pot Noodles (other dried, instant sea-going food products are available), or that a certain tribe has now blessed the site. None of this has a bearing on the outcome.
For the benefit of newbies to this stock, there is a history. A dark history which turned out not to be glowing despite the 80% certainty of 'landing on black'. Any share is a gamble, and I would say AIM and oil in particular: Only gamble what you can afford to lose. No second, mortgage, no borrowing off mates. I didn't do any of those, but there will be those that did!
Has anyone used 'that phrase' yet? If so, I've got a t-shirt I must dust-off. Just saying.
Not logged on for about 2 years after numerous AIM fiascos, thought I'd see if TRP still existed...
Loving the fact that 'glowing in the dark' is still 'fondly' remembered.
Apart from CEO's payouts, have TRP made anybody any money?
I'm getting two T-shirts printed. One with 'Glowing in the Dark' printed on it and 'The Herd is just around the Corner' on the other... Problem is, I'd have to sell a million shares to buy them but at least I would know they are real.....
...sadly it seems it was 'Snake Oil'.... I keep a few of these shares just to remind me how bad an investment this lot were. Actually, it really reminds me that AIM is casino share-dealing so it wasn't actually investment but pure gambling based on I could have made a million or two... No more races for this lame horse, just shoot it and put it out of its misery....
My goodness... where did they get all that drivel from. Grasp the nettle, deal with the elephant in the room - You just gotta love the 'highights': "The Company announced that the TAO-1 well, located in the Tarfaya Offshore Block offshore Morocco, was unsuccessful on the 4th August."
...Bougt in at .44 after the November crash as it looked set to recover, then have wept in my cornflakes as it drifted South slowly but surely since then. Glad to see it rising at long last on good news - hope to be able to afford milk for my cornflakes soon :)
Rentokil Initial today reported third-quarter pre-tax profit more than doubled amid difficult trading conditions and said in the fourth quarter it would continue to focus on delivering service, cutting costs and generating cash. Chief Executive Alan Brown said he would continue to drive operational excellence through service productivity and reducing administration and overhead costs but, above all, "we are focusing on the development of a strong growth agenda." Third-quarter pre-tax profit rose to GBP24 million from GBP11.1 million in the same period a year ago while revenue fell 3.2% to GBP583 million. Rentokil’s earnings were boosted by the strengthening of the euro against sterling as some 70% of its earnings are denominated in the common currency. The company revised its guidance for its troubled parcels business City Link, which is expected to make an operating loss of GBP7 million for the full year, compared with GBP12 million previously forecast. Rentokil is undergoing a three- to five-year restructuring process after the performance of its City Link business sparked several profit warnings and a change of management. The company cut its dividend as part of this process but CEO Brown said in July that the company would reconsider its dividend in 2010.
The SP is set to rocket as selling has been well overdone. There will be a bungee-jump effect with the SP bouncing back up from start of play on Monday. Get some early Christmas cheer folks!
...I'm sure you really meant BYE BYE BYE!
