"The Government’s decision to delay or weaken UK climate targets has left UK exporters potentially facing “hundreds of millions of pounds” in EU carbon border taxes.

The move to row back on green pledges, widely criticised by environmentalists and industry figures alike, has led to a collapse in the UK carbon market, which sets the price that large manufacturers and energy companies must pay for every tonne of CO2 released.

UK carbon prices have fallen to less than half of the equivalent EU carbon cost. UK carbon hit a low of £33 a tonne last week while the EU price is €82 (£71)."

i think it hilarious that these posters who appose the eu are constantly posting about the eu and how bad they are doing, lol to the extent of breaking their own rules by posting doom ’n gloom articles about the eu, from stats, to news articles of fears of longer recession in germany. the uk is out of the eu so why do they harp on about how bad the eu is doing, also i think it’s ironic that ****4brains think the uk is immune from happenings in the eu…well that’s the right w*h*ingers for you….
