"Ron Vara" is a fictional character created by Peter Navarro, a former White House trade adviser under President Donald Trump. The name is an anagram of "Navarro" and was used by him as a pseudonymous source in several of his books, including Death by China. Navarro described Vara as a Harvard-educated economist and China hawk, attributing to him extreme anti-China statements. However, no such person exists, and Navarro has admitted to fabricating the character, referring to it as an "inside joke."

Skier, you are correct, Trump doesn't have time and China will play the long game after all it's a hundred year marathon.

Trump does not have that luxury of time, mid terms looming and given the current pace and complexity of international trade negotiations, it is unlikely that President Trump will finalize all tariff agreements with every country before the upcoming U.S. elections!

Skier, go tell Hollywood they won’t miss it, China is huge. Only a small portion of Hollywood films (less than 10% of total output) are formally exported to Chinese theatre's, but the ones that do get in can earn hundreds of millions.
