no matter how exciting the share is, when faced with a long wait people just lose interest. the board goes quiet, people move money somewhere they think will reap rewards before moving back here in 3 months' time and the sp goes down.

it's no reflection on the story here - it happens to every share in the same predicament. Great company, great investment, not a great time to buy/hold.

I'm not shorting this because it may well have a few bounces left in it over the next couple of weeks but if it hits 78/80 again I definitely will open a short.

at some point - either in price (55?) or time (may?) this will be an absolute no brainer. but for now, I think you need to be prepared to see some red unfortunately.

dont worry about it - patience is the key here. if you're a lth, then you need patience for 6 months. if you're out currently you just need patience to find the right entry point.

investing is all about patience and discipline.

It's just way too long a period until news - and there are too many people still sitting on huge profit from 40p.....

researcher - if you believe in this share, use dips to top up.

I believe in it but I also believe in getting the best value possible. and I also believe there are lots of shares out there that represent as good an opp as agl and spreading your bets is critical.

so I'm happy to sit and wait patiently for a price range I'm happy with.

think this is just long term investors seeing it as a good opp below 80. I think they may regret buying in here today but what do I know!

I'm not trying to deramp but offer the other side of the argument becuase it's always important to have that.

Nothing has changed in terms of fundamentals - this has the same potential it did yesterday.

however...

1) H2 does not mean July. It means any time between July and December.

2) even July is 4 months away and that is a long time on this index.

3) correct me if I'm wrong but AGL doesn't have any other news due, really, that could shift the sp.

I get why people are buying in at 75, I really do. But this has got a long time now without news and it will. absolutely drift downwards as people move their money elsewhere to come back later.

Having reflected, I would not be surprised to see 50s again to be honest.
