I would personally say based on their accounts, advertising revenue was very healthy and cost of living crisis or not that is going to continue. In fact one could argue that this share is more likely to go up then down. The sector will quite rightly be spooked by the Netflix numbers but ITV’s main revenue streams are advertising and production so not affected by subscription cancellations.
Their new ITVX (or whatever it is called) is largely financed from previous profits keeping debt down so they may be in the same sector but are a different model
You can deramp it all you like
Or you can be in the ramp it up camp
People enjoy watching TV and I personally think that having apple, Disney, Netflix, Amazon all fighting for that space will have people cancelling all subscriptions. I want to watch Ozark but subscribe to Apple. I want to watch slow horses but subscribe to Disney. The more times a program comes up you want to watch but can’t as you subscribe to a different provider will ultimately send people back to good old fashioned terrestrial TV
