I have been trying to figure out why QFI have been so unlucky..
I see QFI have a formula for the HFO refineries to produce a consistent quality greener HFO, which will be proven in the MSC trial. Where as u/vlsfo can be mixed with different fuels to meet IMO regs.. like aviation fuel when there is a glut, probably without any intensive engine testing.. and maybe the Mauritius incident..

Increasing HFO
Maersk’s current fuel consumption is split with 10% for 0.1% sulphur fuel covering ECA zones, 80% for very low sulphur fuel oil and 10% HFO. The plan, revealed , is to increase HFO usage to 25% by the end of 2020, 3m tons of HFO.

If the MSC trial is successful then there is a fair chance Maersk will follow suit, they have a big fuel bill to reduce..

If it happens I think people are going to get spiked, someone attempting to use reddit/gme events to make a quick profit on syme.. Not the best candidate, I doubt its an institutional shorters target.
