Is there any way of seeing the IP address of people posting in these forums? - I’d love to see who’s talking to themselves here…
You get so many shares for your money! - I bought LOOOOOOAAAAADs of them!
AMC is totally different, it’s overvalued on its shares because there is almost definitely something happening behind the scenes that shouldn’t be, nothing to do with the company or it’s fundamentals.
Just because they are both cinema chains means nothing..
Can’t book tickets to my local cineworld online, maybe this is just a glitch but the internet is buzzing with it meaning a new lockdown…
Randomly I just popped over as Mars is still on one of my watchlists even though I’m not currently invested.
We’d need to know more about the site in question, the description of ‘manager’ initially leads me to think that the site is a marstons managed site, but that doesn’t seem particularly likely - the chances of a managed site not having a budget for decorations at Christmas seems incredibly unlikely..
I’d assume that it is a ‘low cost entry’ scheme site, as the ‘tenant’ is trying their toe in the water to score some free dec’s….
In 2019, I spent way in excess of £1000 on new decorations, trees, lights, tinsel… my pub looked bare… it literally costs £1000’s to get the rooms done to a high standard…
As these types of ‘shared income’ sites are probably treading water at the minute - I’d take this with a pinch of salt, there’s hundreds of these type of sites and some of the operators have other means of income, some however don’t and will indeed be struggling.
This is the first post i came to, I’ll have a poke around..
I can’t wait to see people’s take on the employee situation!
Sold my entire holding today, swung from a 150% profit at one point to a loss over the last week, held for 6-9 months... buying, averaging up and down... bit of a rollercoaster ride... pulling out as there are two American stocks that I feel will recoup any loss of profit here...
Once those two show their hand, I could be back and put a big lump back in here...
Good luck everyone..
I’m not selling, I’m just going to delete amigo from the watch list that I look at every day and put it on the one that I look at a couple of times a month...
I’d rather it go to zero than sell and miss out if/when it eventually rebounds. I’m not even going to attempt to lower my average.. I’m just going to try to ignore it.
Yes. Because regardless of the situation for the groups of people you mention, they have been accused of some pretty serious damage to their customers!
I did just buy more though, the new BoD will hopefully be given a chance
Handsoff makes a really good point..
this is no longer about the company, people’s jobs or shareholders... those three things take the back burner for a while.
Peoples lives have been seriously affected by the loans that amigo provide, people won’t have taken responsibility for their actions after applying for one and ending up in a bad situation..
People will then point their fingers at the company - or any other party they can blame for their situation, MP’s and debt councillors will have had hoardes of complaints and will have reported back to the authorities who will cascade them to the fsa and whoever else is involved in this court case
There’s likely to be some statements from MP’s on that desk - the absolute worst cases.. about debt taking over or actually taking peoples lives - stuff that is going to be hard for the judge to ignore.
We aren’t naive enough to think that shareholders are held with any regard.. we are scum to them.
Amigo aren’t respected at all, the people who are happy with their loan products are completely shadowed by the bad cases
This case leaves the judge in a very awkward position, it doesn’t matter how good the BOD are, we won’t come out of this smelling of roses.
Personally I think it will depend on what company is able to take over the sector, if there isn’t a company that can fill the gap that amigo would leave, then we will survive. If there IS an alternative then we could quite easily be thrown to the wolves.
My AJ Bell shares isa Amigo shares are showing at 14p and a 40% drop today.
But the LSE homepage states the shares are still suspended from trading!
Looking at absolute carnage when they reopen.
Can anyone summarise today’s events - I’ve gone back to work today for the 1st time this year and missed everything!
There’s 700+ messages on here for me to read in bed!!! Lol
