In March the company would have a very good idea of how the season was shaping, pre-orders would have been taken weeks and months ahead for what is seen as the start of the gardening season... Easter. So Peter Williams selling his shares could possibly have been a sign of what was to come, who knows. The problem Sinclair's have is that they operate in a very aggressive market, and success depends on how many of the sheds and garden centre chains they supply for volume of business, then you have the smaller independent outlets which are fair game for major and smaller suppliers.
Its not about making peat sexy, its about brand awareness and bringing new high quality products to market, which are priced right, fit for purpose and consider environmental issues
