Lloyds delivering Bank Holiday blues (well REDS) again I see!!
Me tuning in first thing each morning :-)
Lunchtime :-/
4PM :-(
Just tuned in to see how we were faring after posting that positive set of Q1 results this morning......looks like we may have given the surplus profits to NWG.
WTF goes on with this share?
Lloyds announce Year End Results......Russia Invades Ukraine....Share price plummets
Lloyds announce 1st Quarter Results.....Russia cuts off gas to Poland/Pokes a stick at Moldova.....we all know what happens next!!
UK Bank P/E multiples are currently absurd. The Banks have only just returned to healthy profitability and markets are already baking in impending doom. There was no credit stress signs seen at the last Quarterly update and if prices stay higher for longer, and we do see that translate into bad loans, then we are some way off that significantly filtering through to the P&L. Despite the consumer downside, rising BBR was surely the trigger here to move higher, yet we seem to find ourselves in a worse place still.
Nice to see this going ex-div before it goes ex-div!!
What is it with this pos share.....6 years of pure misery for me.
errr, yeah right!!
??
As per COVID, no one knows, it's an unprecedented situation.
If we think about it logically though, this share has dropped 5% this morning because of 39m trades that represent 0.05% of the share capital. It's worth whatever 1 individual is prepared to offload at and the other willing to accept as a good entry point. I'm guessing if you did a straw pole of the remaining 99.95% shareholdings very few would be willing to offload at this price.
As someone who was looking to retire in the next year, my portfolio has been decimated ever since Christmas, I'll just have to grin and bear it and work for a few more years......such is life!!
…..There’s murder on the dance floor, but you better not kill my entire portfolio.
Thought it might have been a few days until we reached our 52 week low, but might be today at this rate!!
Lloyd's divi handout is pretty rubbish really, just look at Polymetal, the divi yield there is currently 45%. Now that's progressive :-/
Well they are so heavily reliant on it you can't blame them.
........to only finish -10.8% down. Oh well, retirement put off for another few years. Better get back to work!!
"Champions league final now been moved from Russia".....the fact that it even had to be debated is very sad indeed. Purely because Gazprom is a major sponsor of UEFA.
Time that FIFA, UEFA and IOC stop massaging these dictator's ego's once and for all. Perhaps put humanity before satisfying your own dirty greed.
....approaching -11%, not the day we were expecting that's for sure, Putin or no Putin.
This is a completely different scenario to CV-19, why would they stop dividends because of a war? Life will go on, business will happen, I don't think the UK Govt are going to raid Banks for a war effort
On a positive, Charlie and William are better at Q&A than they are at presenting!!
Not sure Charlie and William are doing anything to alleviate the clubbing that we are getting this morning. I'm ****e at presenting but this is so wooden it's unreal. Charlie looks like a nervous schoolboy!!
Anyone else waiting to join the Investor Presentation at 9:30am? This F'in music is doing my head in :-)
"When does share buyback starts please?"
I think they've decided to implement a sellback instead :-)
