"So the lse got shafted then, typical"
US OTC market closed at a mid price equal to 49p. Where do you think those OTC shares come from, and what do you think will happen here on Monday morning as a result of the fact that the OTC market is now ahead of us?
We are hardly shafted
" it is already clear that Merlin-1 has delivered by far the best outcome of any of the five wells drilled by 88 Energy in Alaska over the last six years."
Saying it's the best of 5 doesn't really say much though does it. I could be the best looking person in my entire family and still be butt ugly. The fact of the matter is that they have still not proved a commerically viable discovery and it's going to be another year before thay have the oppurtunity to do so.
I was just looking at today's chart. We had a small spike at 14:20 and the price rose consistently throughout the day after that point
14:30 is when the OTC market in the US opens. As the subject of my message suggests. I'm not implying that todays rise was driven by the US, but it is interesting. I'm not ramping but I am invested and already in profit. As everyone watching this stock must know, our neighbours have had an insane couple of weeks thanks to the interest from the USA.
Thoughts?
you mean 88? I'm a refugee from "the other side"
Another refugee reporting in. I got spooked when the US market went on a feeding frenzy so I sold up last week and left a few on the table just in case. I'm now invested here with a decent chunk and I suspect others will follow.
"Don't forget Duster Dave usually slips in a cash raise soon after an unsuccessful drill just to keep us on our toes and skint"
There was a time I'd be refuting a comment like that. not any more! - Got to ensure finances remain until the exit strategy completes
"Why if there were so many drilling issues were the drillers buying in big style?" Read the RNS. They bought at a discount to the share price on the day they were issued, and before wireline logging started (so there were no issues at the time). Also note that they could have sold on the day for a tidy profit.
We are done here until the inevitable November-ish cash raise for the 2022 drilling season
"This is a bit like Hull getting to Wembley...any f***ing could happen !!"
One difference this time, DW has all of his cards in play. He has an exit strategy locked in and he can't deal short term. No idea wtf that means right now thought with the US dynamic
