Incredibly simplistic way to value a company, and it’s incredible to think that Wilco has identified such a huge disparity in value when the collective intelligence of the entire market can’t see what Wilco sees.

How much do you think it’s going to cost to mine what’s at NKT, how much is recoverable, costs to treat it, costs to store it, time involved in mining it etc etc etc

The company got a placing away a few weeks after one of the ACF reports found its way into yeh public domain from memory, quite handy really. The ACF report uses terminology such as, subject to, inferred resources, could be etc etc. Using statements such as these means there is nothing truly stated as fact, and as such no illegality as you like to claim had taken place.

I used to have a lot of investment notes like these cross my desk, very very few of them reached the projections noted and many failed miserably but the issuance of them wasn’t illegal nor fraudulent, just wildly inaccurate. Maybe read up on the law surrounding investments analyst reports although I think it may have been tightened up since 2021, not 100% sure though.

These reports clearly note they’re not for retail investors, and is a marketing communication and not investment reeearch. Have a good read of the additional disclosures for UK investors and you’ll get a feel for how much misleading information or projections can be included in these notes without any fear of legal recourse

If you’re still dreaming of £1.27 a share as noted in the ACF report then carry on, I think you’re going to be extremely disappointed though

Assumptions and predictions can’t be factually correct, it’s one persons interpretation of information available to them. Investment flash notes are notoriously inaccurate but the very nature of them means there’s nothing illegal in them.

In the case of ACF, where would liability for any false or misleading information fall. They openly declare that they haven’t independently checked any information. The Company had paid for the report to be prepared but it’s not their responsibility for how ACF interpret any information they receive from the company or other resources.

I would tend to give more credence to an independent flash note over one paid for by the company it’s covering personally.

For the flip side look at what Tom Winnifrith does with his investment commentary, borders on criminal at times in my opinion but he knows how close to the law he can play and get away with it.

The bottom line is that those who called it as pie in the sky figures were proven correct

Who composed the ACF report?

The ACF report was from memory a paid for report, with the information not being independently verified at all by ACF. There was a lot of assumptions with the value being in the £1.15 - £1.27 range which is quite laughable considering we can’t even get to 5p and stay above it nowadays. I view that report as fanciful fantasy at best

If, and that’s quite a big if, any Russian oligarchs want to buy EUA then they’ll get it much cheaper than it would have cost them prior to the Ukraine invasion.

I still see a MBO happening here, and nowhere near the fantasy figures of 65-70p being thrown about by idiots
