StrangeTrader has a complete lack of knowledge of shares, trading (buy high hold for 10 years then sell low) and geography. Only know what ST posts via 3rd hand posts as I filtered ST.

Rental approx £4.5k per year.
Some overheads are:-
Voids
Repairs
Letting fees
Licence
Council tax during void

Say 25% of income.
So net = £3.2k =10% ROI

I have a self-sufficient motorhome. 300w solar panels. Had it for 10 years. Rain in UK keeps it clean and working good enough for my off-grid lifestyle for months on end.
With regard to the gas users. My house boiler needs regular servicing and replacement every 8 or so years. Others will have different thoughts.

2008 last predicted financial collapse. Two more years price rise then end specific but 2024-26 sudden cliff edge.
