Mkango are pretty rubbish at communicating the details of their MDA progress Lotus on the other hand are quite sharing on it and it sounds like All the companies lined up for Malawian MDAs are now working together with the Gov there... well worth viewing this from 11.47

Lotus expect their MDA before years end and for it to be a blueprint for others
The draft legislation was adopted with 515 votes to 34, with 28 abstentions.
'Lead MEP Nicola Beer (Renew, DE) said: βThe course towards European sovereignty and competitiveness has been set. With an overwhelming majority across political groups in today's vote, the European Parliament has made its position on European security of supply very clear, and takes a strong mandate into negotiations with the Council and the Commission. Our focus is on reducing bureaucracy, fast and simple approval processes, a research and innovation boost along the entire value chain, and targeted economic incentives for private investors with a view to European production and recycling. The European Parliament is focused on building strategic, equal partnerships with third countries.
Parliament will push to conclude the trilogue negotiations by Christmas 2023. We are counting on the urgency and relevance of the secure and sustainable supply of raw materials being as much a concern for member states as it is for us, the people's representatives."
Game on! .... Worth getting the SP down to 9p this! :)

Tanzania now,π
Within 2 years you'll never get that from a new mine and that's all growth π potential as HyproMag become wind turbine magnet recycling specialists....no doubts Cotecs Birmingham uni collab can play into this they have some impressive robot techs for breaking down dangerous techs to recycle... π Winner winner...now for today's EU CRMA vote
And if that weren't enough, now a possible trade war with China over EVs :))
like all the stars aligning

And of course tomorrow the CRMA is likely to be voted closer to becoming law:
'Critical raw materials: plans to secure EU's own supply and autonomy
MEPs will vote on Thursday on plans to boost the supply of strategic raw materials, crucial to secure the EUβs transition towards a sustainable, digital and autonomous future.
The EU is heavily reliant on imports of critical materials essential for renewable energy, digital industries, defence, space, and health. As a result, the new law aims to identify strategic projects and their deployment, establishes strategic reserves, encourages the recycling of these materials, and boosts private investments.
It will introduce a system to streamline the procurement of strategic raw materials, as well as financial incentives, such as monetary rewards or deposit-refund schemes, to motivate people and companies to collect and recycle products and their associated waste.

'BRUSSELS, Sept 13 (Reuters) - The European Union will put forward a package of measures to support its wind power industry as renewable energy companies struggle with challenges including inflation, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said on Wednesday.
"We will fast-track permitting even more. We will improve the auction systems across the EU. We will focus on skills, access to finance and stable supply chains," von der Leyen said in a speech to the European Parliament.'
Yes, and HyproMag will recycle the magnets in them :)
German plant operational 2024
On Sept 3rd:
'Green minerals
Malawi's rich endowments of minerals needed to supply low-carbon technologies - such as graphite, rare-earth elements, niobium and titanium mineral concentrates - could anchor our country's development goals, while advancing global decarbonisation efforts.'

The MDA is being 'negotiated' by both sides and both sides say it is very close ....
And that could have been written for the last 12 months and for the next 12 :)))
The best I can say is both sides want it but there must be some niggly issue to overcome again both sides seem to think they can do that....anyways no Wagner or PRC issues :)))
Yeah all good fun...the only obvious down on project re-rewind is that it's not 100% fully funded but FFS the gain from it is potentially game changer especially for Tylesy pilot plant that was looking at 100 tonnes of recycled material per annum ....This is a resource of 23000 plus tonnes that as bonkers points out all needs recycling at some point and is only going to increase and notice Will use the word 'internationally' in the RNS...A global opportunity the initial proving up mostly funded by Innovate and new partnerships made
...... π Winner
The tour continues

Remember Mkango has the full package the means to recycle without chemicals (although they can do that too )and do it using over 80% less energy than others and they can then manufacturer magnets.... again worth looking at this funded projects partners
