'Too early to say' whether UK cases have peaked
Today's daily coronavirus figures have revealed infections have dropped 10% in the latest week.
But SAGE member Professor Neil Ferguson has said it's "too early to say" whether we have reached the peak.
"Maybe because this week is half-term week, and so we know lots of people have gone on holiday, testing patterns are different than usual," he told a news briefing.
"We will have to wait probably at least another couple of weeks if not closer to three to be sure."
However, he said there were already some "encouraging signs" and even if the peak does not happen now, we should see a "sustained decline in the coming weeks"

The fact is the GPs have it too easy, for too long now. You can’t make a proper appointment, it’s either morning or afternoon for a phone call. Modelling seen by ministers suggests coronavirus infections will fall next month even without Plan B restrictions being introduced, according to reports.
Projections from several groups are said to show cases dropping rapidly within weeks, with experts reportedly indicating they could plunge to around 5,000 a day before Christmas.
The Daily Telegraph reports that a model from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) suggests infections will soon peak before declining sharply in the winter.
Professor John Edmunds, from LSHTM and a member of the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) and the sub-group SPIM, said the model was projecting that cases "would start to decline some time in the autumn".
