Load Factors29 Jul 2020 21:30
Don't know if anyone else has been doing this but I've taken a look through the BA website to view how full their aircraft are. Other than Spain they seem to be filling both short and long haul aircraft very well, although even Spain is high for the next couple of weeks.
I do strongly believe there's a whole generation of people who are willing to travel and take a bit of risk pandemic or not.
My thoughts are any loss around £1.5 billion on Friday will be a good result, £2.5 billion would be perceived as terrible and anything in between, who knows?
My gut feeling is I don't think a rights issue will be confirmed on Friday, no one knows which way this is all going to go in the next week, month or year. Why would IAG do a rights issue if flight load factors to destinations are remaining as high as they are now?
I'm expecting the share price to stay fairly static after Friday's results as I don't think the results will be closer to a £1.5 billion loss. Am interested to hear what others think! If you are holding shares will you be selling up on Friday morning before the 9am conference call?
