Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
I think our chief technician Geng noted that 1.6 is quite critical for AMC. if it can leap that then it opens up a lot of potential. I'll leave the expert commentary to Geng however.
hahaha this made me chuckle Shadowless.
This 'young man' is about to enter into his 40s.
I think I was in my 20s when I was first involved with AMC.
let's do it MD. The MD and CBS show.
absolutely groundless MD :)
Welcome David. To your question why Mr Young holds a relatively low # of shares given his position - I'm not sure anyone can properly answer that. You will receive answers, inter-alia:
#1 that he scamming shareholders to receive a large pay packet to fund an extraordinary lifestyle which variously involves hanging out in the Russian Far East because who wouldn't enjoy the amenities and the winters (most of the time, see Covid, I believe hes currently in California at the moment where he has a home).
#2 that we've been in a 'closed period' for nigh on X number of years and hes therefore been precluded from buying any shares.
#3 I'm sure there are some contributions from others here...
I think overall David no one really knows. There have been management shares-for-pay schemes here over the last few years where the board and the senior officers took shares instead of salary.
Overall i've no idea. If I was the CEO here I would have been finding ways to accumulate larger holdings over the years. I do admit as an investor the idea that the CEO has a smaller holding (relatively speaking) than say other CEOs. Especially when there is such an asset as Kun-Manie involved.
Sorry can't be of more help - and truthfully I don't think anyone will be able to give you a solid answer on this.
that's them cheers Sansavatar
that's them cheers Sans
lol Skermernator looks like you and I both took a ride on the 88e bus recently
actually the question mark is rather apt!
I've thrown some good money after bad here today after a good run elsewhere. my 3m haven't shown up yet.
Will do.
Once done, I'll appoint an independent consultant to erm...
well you know
"Not to mention numerous reviews of reviews."
I'm going to review this
"Don't be fickle, get your Nickel,
as for mines, there aren't that many,
lock in Nickel Sulphide with Kun-Manie"
true.
However just checked out a VW bond and a Tesla bond. The Tesla bond trades at a lower yield than the VW bond. Incredibly Tesla can raise cash cheaper than VW
I don't disagree Jim. If you've got a popular narrative, and access to cash, and lotsa government funding coming down the pipe, then regardless of the economic merits of any project, you're likely to get some cash.
hmmm
Im skeptical.
First thing to note is it's going to attract capital based off of the green narrative (who wouldn't) and it's using a SPAC (the new hot investment vehicle for attracting cash).
Next, were going to do some deep sea mining with what appears as yet unproven tech.
Enjoyable list of accomplisments:
"has made significant progress on project development...
* attracting world-class strategic partners and investors (that's what you use a SPAC for)
*completing 10 resource definition and environmental campaigns to its exploration areas in the Pacific Ocean (would that be nine environmental campaigns and one resource definition? How does the JORC code work with sea-ming?)
*he expected piloting of the offshore nodule collector system together with Allseas next year (progress in this instance is doing something next year)
*and completing a zero-solid-waste pilot processing plant program with Hatch, FLSmidth and Glencore this year (a pilot, unproven)
If I had to guess the shareholders may get rich, but it won't be off of extracting metal from the ocean floor in an environmentally safe way. I'd suggest some of that $.19b Biden cheese will go to these guys to continue studying the efficacy of such an approach for the next ten years.
just picked some up at 1.477
SP - they promised a binding offtake by Dec 2020? I must have missed that in the long list of other due dates they missed.
EEeesssh.
Very true TDT that's quite the vertical jump in stocks.
Down another 50 cents this morning.
I get you about sentiment/narrative vs actual...but just thinking outside the box here...could this in any way have to do with the introduction of the new NiS benchmark?
