Is there any consensus on where the billion owed to Cineplex is heading. I feel like its going to end up like a quarter of that, by the UK courts or they just settle privately. They are guilty and owe something for pulling out, but the amount is ridiculous. Its clearly the home court awarding too much for one of their own, tried in the UK it'd be the opposite, but I still think they'd side with Cineplex and award something, but not that much.
I feel this is likely, and with that, there is the catalyst of having the opposite price movement of the court case result in future, when news breaks that they'll owe maybe 1/4 of the amount instead.
Maybe this is partially becoming factored in already. Some bigwigs maybe had legal analysis that CW definitely won't pay anywhere near that. Just some thoughts :)
If you want a gamble go for virgin galactic SPCE, they just dived solely because their flight was delayed again til May and the chairman sold shares, its nearly back where it was before it was supposed to do a test flight, so you’re gambling on the flight success in May solely for a boom time, at least double... if they actually do the test this time, that’s the gamble.
AMC 340%, up 40% since the last guy told you to look, madness :D
Anyone know what the allocation of RI shares is? I’m in HL also and they’ve dumped my overspend back into my account. Can’t remember what was initially taken lol but I think it’s a lot less than hoped. Its maybe must what is guaranteed? It can’t be below that ‘right’?
I’m reasonably sure that anything you’ve done so far has nothing to do with the ISA at all. And the only way to move the shares to the ISA is to sell them, transfer money to ISA and then buy back (albeit some dealers can handle this for you perhaps - but they would likely do the same process).
Thus, when you sell these, at that point you will be liable for the tax. If you have any losses in the same year in the same category then they might at least mitigate the tax I guess. You might want to sell parts in different tax years but obviously there’s a lot of timing issues going on there in general.
I’m the same for 3/5 of my WH shares but have a few losses to counter :) enjoy the gain at least :)
£1500 at 35p or so 6 months ago now sitting at £15k and another £4K up in another account from £1 buy in. Sadly I’m down in CINE and some airlines even when buying them already low.
Oh if I’d have just bought £3k, or £10k :)
Will continue to hold, the US and their sports industry is just insane, any market share of that will blitz the U.K. if it opens up. 3b market cap is just a floor if it’s a prime target of a fund with £400b to manage, considering the expansion plans they’d have in mind with this.
It may wobble but feels like even short to medium term there might be 50-100% gains again. It just depends how buyouty the company actually is as opposed to going it alone :)
Hey guys wondering if you can help. The 'tradeable' rights just appeared for me in HL (Hargreaves Lan) account as another share 'IAGN', separately from IAG which is there also. It shows with a value so I'm confused. I think it just appeared but market closed now and there's no option to do anything. If I want to take them up how does it work on HL. Do I go to IAG and just buy as normal and it will offer some to me at the rights offer price? Also how would I over subscribe? Maybe the options will appear tomorrow or I'll get a message with the offer tomorrow?
I'm used to how Halifax does it where they just let you take full rights or manually add how many shares.
I got in at 40p with £2000, topped up more at £1, by far one of the biggest risers from virus lows :) still holding...
