There hasn't been alot of mining in ecudor that's why the governments pushing enviromently friendly mining and allowing the mijjng industry to expand ,although i understand your point and there has been issues by indigenous group's the government introduced a bill to ensure all communities were involved in every stage of exploration/mining process in their area and consultation process to be made before any approval ,in the past this was not the case ,ecudor government have got this right ,that's why the big conglomerates are investing in ecudor mining imho
