ASs I said in previous posts picked, a bit of boredom in between trading the indices. Very nice day on the SPX today - did u notice or you missed it? I guess the latter. Microsoft at all time highs etc. 493 other co's of SPX are nothing just 7 companies ruling the index.

Moody's sort of downgraded the outlook on the US. No-one will care they will just run for cover to tech. Definitely not miners

What you lot are failing to realise is that greed governs here. What you should be calculating after the endless pontification is the worst possible outcome for the 10-15% of PI's that are left.

This is what you should be working out. Because they Orion's La Mancha's etc of this world couldn't give a monkeys about you. All I see here is desperate bag holders looking to exit at breakeven or late comers to the party that want to make a quick 10-20% and be gone. If you focused your energies on the SPX you would have made a ton buying 0DTE options today and other days. That and Nasdaq are pretty much the only things in the world flying on the back of the Magnificent 7 co's.

The hope will come out of nowhere and by the time you realise it it would be too late. Perhaps if the BoE announces a view that rates should start being cut this would be a sign. But an orderly cut. Because if they announce a sudden cut then that would be because something scared them which will not be good. It's all nuanced

Keep trying to catch a falling knife - Follow Jed he knows what he is doing. Quoting valuations etc. guys for years - They mean nothing - You have to look at things in a wider context - the market is forward looking and does not see things improving in the economy for ITV to pick up its TAR. Simples. Keep on averaging down wrong strategy. Waiting for an uptrend to establish better. It is sit on hands time. Find another share Jed as I said to you a few days ago you are trying to catch a bottom - never a good strategy

ITV is a public service broadcaster - Imagine if an American company wanted to take it over. Or any other country for that matter, They would have to really want the studios business but if the terms are that they get the lot, they would have to figure out a way to make the TV side of the business profitable. When I look at US daytime TV and how it is profitable it is by being light on news programming and by that I mean superficial news being broadcast repeatedly and some times verbatim across multiple channels (think of a production line) and shows with extreme views from either side, so that audiences on either extreme get engaged (think GB News squared). I don't think the regulators in the UK will want ITV to be that

It's a bit if amusement for me bridgedogg - I like observing the psychology of rampers, hopefuls, de-rampers, the naive, the rude etc. and chip in.

I day trade the indices. This board provides a bit of light relief when I wait for conditions to enter a trade. You'll know I am busy with a trade if I am not posting here. I enjoy watching hopefuls and dreamers making endless scenarios about what may happen and really laugh when it blows up in their face. They get so hooked up in a story and an understanding of fundamentals and they totally miss the fact that the market is governed by greed.

All you need is to understand psychology and know some basic TA and market structure. And yes I do believe this whole debacle was engineered. Because if it wasn't huge problems like that would have surfaced earlier and fore warning would have been given. Someone sat on it....

Whenever I see phrases like "Sellers out", "Volume rising", "It's oversold", "It's undervalued", "I topped up at these prices", you know the PI's are getting desperate. People volume has risen slightly after Friday's pump and dump. Nothing to see here apart from desperate late scavengers who in their naivety have probably picked up shares at 20p hoping for a breakout. AIM tactics are so clear to see.

Jed - you are talking about a 60% rise from here. You are dreaming- For that interest rates have to come down to 2% , FIFA to announce 2 world cups in a year, ITV to get rid of McCall and bring back Crozier (!!!), Piers Morgan to make a comeback and one of the majors announce a bid (after decades of speculation).
