Morning LTI, I know what you are saying, but I am led to believe you are wrong. The 3rd GPRS only spec tender confirms that also. EESL are the only scale operatives right now, L&T have the SI solution bagged on meters, and lighting is covered by an unknown by us. I would not be surprised if they have SI solutions covering most scenarios. They have had a very long look at CC, had access to time endless pilots, and they may well have done what India is very good at doing.

Hi vas, something was posted here this week that took me back to a conversation I had with Simon S a while ago. It was also touched on in the ISGW post from Chianti. Utilities largely know where they are losing money, it's not in the villages or poor built up urban areas, it is from very high usage high wealth individuals. Police, politicians, magistrates etc, the people who can least afford it actually pay, or the amounts are so small, it's not the issue. Modi is playing the card because it will always be popular with the masses is my guess. Anyhow, the target market are well placed, in excellent locations for a GPRS system, and it is implemented with absolute ease. This target market probably use hundreds even thousands of times more energy than any less well off individual with a light bulb if they are lucky. CC have known this for a very long time.

The 3rd, and latest, tender due to close soon, is solely based on GPRS again.

I think this is a case of the later, the company has made many mistakes, hence the SP. How CC can be compared to anything that went on in the Tech boom is worrying again tony, strange planet yours.

I think the fact CC lost/ didn't figure, in the first major, is clouding some judgement here.

Morning LTI, my post was more aimed at the author. So, he doesn't state that they are not installing meters. Fact is, the meters are going in at a very fast pace, certification will follow, they have been in house tested and the certification measure is less than what has been passed already. I did ask the question regards the timeline for the 2nd 5 million tender. Most seem to know all about it, apart from that element. If the SI tech is our field, and we lose this one, we will all have a very good idea where CC are heading.
