Your own Countrymen are making huge strides with hydrogen technology, Antelope. Experimenting with transporting hydrogen as NH4 and then separating it out at point of use through a special membrane developed at Melbourne University. Good way off yet but I think it will be huge in the future.

You Aussies are developing new technologies which enable hydrogen to be safely transported in the form of NH4 and then converted back to hydrogen by means of a special membrane. I believe it is Melbourne University and a body called the CSIRO Agency that have developed this membrane. I see that battery power will be the prime fuel for vehicles for a significant period but I believe that hydrogen power will also have its time.
