RE: Hydrogen Fuel Tech Just Got A Major27 May 2019 19:04
I believe battery powered vehicles will be on the decline within 20 years. Lithium is a finite resource, hydrogen isn't. I understand that an Australian university is using pioneering the use of NH4 as a method of distributing and storing hydrogen at atmospheric pressure. An American organization, Joi, are developing new ways of extracting hydrogen from seawater.
Forget the Czech Government, he needs to be talking to Babis who is key to the success of EMH. I am sure the next technical information from the Company will be stunning but the Babis problem needs to be resolved, perhaps with an intervention by the Australian Government or perhaps even Volkswagen, who would make a perfect partner for EMH with their Skoda connection and who must have some clout with Babis and the Czech Government.
They are already looking at storing and dispensing hydrogen as NH4, probably less hazardous for granny to dispense than petrol. After the hydrogen is released the nitrogen would combine with oxygen as NO2 (air). The Australians are leading the field in this area.
I believe the next 20 years will be an exciting time for lithium power and good for those invested. However I have no doubt that hydrogen will become the power source of the future. Toyota and Audi already huge sums of money in development.
Now, now, TDT, you should be grateful that the head of a $40M company, with cashflow difficulties, should take the time to explain where our investment strategies have gone wrong.

I seriously believe that battery powered motor vehicles are going to be just a stop gap for 20 years or so and then hydrogen power will be in the ascendance. New developments seem to appear every day. Just have a look at the Joi website. The hydrogen economy is in reach.

I think you will find that hydrogen is the most abundant element in the Universe. Without a doubt it is the power source of the future. New ways of producing and storing hydrogen are being developed. Have a look at the Joi website.
I have thought for some time that battery powered vehicles will become a 20 year stop gap whilst hydrogen power gets itself organized. Elon Musk disagrees with me but hey ho.
