You ever seen the videos of people putting a treat down infront of their dog and telling it not to eat it whilst they leave the room? The dog eats the treat after a minute or so of trying to resist and checking around itself.
Treat - Scheme
Dog - FCA
Very interesting that the FCA should choose this moment to intervene. My thoughts are that it is a PR move due to pressures from complaints following press exposure on the SP in recent weeks. They will have had a number of complaints that SP if flying whilst claimants are being asked to take a lesser amount than they are due.
In reality, neither of these factors have any correlation and the FCA know this. The judge approved part 1 and the FCA looks to be taking the wrong move i’d say by not attending the creditors meeting and trying to wrangle in at the last minute in court.
If their move to appose is successful, they have effectively stopped payout to 95,000 people - do they want to stand over that in favour of the 3,000 who are unhappy with the SP? I don’t think so.
Just my caffeine fuelled analysis but i’m satisfied we are good here.

Former customer here.
Had 2x SMS and 2 x Emails from Amigo about the vote. If you click my profile you might be able to see my previous post on here containing one of the comms.
Hasnt been anything sent since the vote opened though.
Relending wont start before the 12th anyway, you cant loan money when there is the possibility of insolvency - amigos lenders wouldn't give the facility on that.
It'll be end of May for relending IMO.
As with all votes, there is a chance that either yes or no could receive a volume of votes that makes the other outcome mathematically impossible. Should this happen here, do we think the announcement would be made earlier or do the legalities mean that it has to remain open until the close date in May?
