So in the future we mine lithium at $4K per tonne costs...
Ganfeng buy for say $8K per tonne market rate
They as 50% shareholders recoup ~2K per tonne of the profits through dividends/ executive bonus or do they just pay 6K per tonne (I suppose it doesn't matter)
We have market rate offtake agreements for 50% + 50% of the stage 1 resource so if we can firm up the $4K/T production rate I struggle to see where the risk is ... guaranteed income/ profits for the foreseeable !!

I understand Ganfeng and Hanwa have a 50% off take agreements each for stage 1 - do we know if this is based on market prices or a fixed amount; what will BCN actually get per tonne of lithium from stage 1 ?
If LAC are free to sell their product to market then it makes sense why their potential earning are greater initially (though having ganfeng / hanwa will be much more valuable long term)

I was also under the impression that we're a fair bit further along than LAC but have no understanding of the complexity/ IP related to lithium extraction from clays.
Tesla/ Biden will be keen to get this going as a show of green America so I would think water rights and the like would fall into place.
A potential missing piece of the puzzle could be the technology which (i assume) would carry a hefty licencing fee ?
Might be wide of the mark here but seems an opportunity to be friendly neighbours ?

Furthermore with LAC being given the go ahead is there a potential to licence some of our technology/ IP ?
Could be seen as counter intuitive but the demand should be huge in the future so could be another revenue stream ?

Agree with you there, interesting who emerges as the global superpower after this term, trump has created a vacuum which China and Macron have tried to fill - im invested with BCN so a thawing of us Chinese relations will be good for me there.
The immediate and very real problem for Biden though is getting a grip of covid and where we all hope SNG will play a part.
