Over a quarter of the company could've changed hands the last 3 days. What's stopping Poly effectively having 35+% by now ?

You can't make a "quick exit" with 22%

If Poly had an average of 160 last Friday with their buying at 20p (if they have been lucky) their average is still around 130.
Expect they will have played the turbulence to buy more and bring this down further.
The 30% compulsory offer is interesting - I've been in two shares where this happened and it was not for the best price from the last 12months.

9million of the 50million shares bought in the last two days accounted for - further Tr1s to come would imagine.

Will be shocked if the day passes without one or two

You're absolutely correct that Poly have typically notified the day after crossing a threshold though so let's see.

FTC I tend to agree that it's more likely they will notify a 12% holding for example - but we are where we are and for me I've decided I'll wait and see - if they double down I think we'll see a strong bounce.
Poly hold the cards (something like a 3, a 5 and a jack) so let's see their next play.

FTC - sort of irrelevant now isn't it but surely they sold into the news they created else there would've been a stronger sp action when they notified ?

Whether you believe it or not it is very clear that for us all (polygon included) the situation now requires strong actions, if their next notification is between 15-20% I will be shocked as it's neither here nor there.

those notifications in the heady days of 190-210 were used to bring the price up and sell into however - do you not think they'll be a little cruder in this situation ?

What possible reason can you think of for Poly notifying today.
If they're bailing out and notify the sp will crash further still (keep that one on the hush I'd say)
If they're building to average down they will need time to do so because of their monster holding already (don't want to tell all and sundry what they're trying to do)

Notifying that they are up to 20% say will be great (relative) for the sp but still leaves Poly with an ugly average not dissimilar to what they had on Friday.

Now when they HAVE to notify (will this be tomorrow or Thursday) how much have they been able to dump hoover up will be very interesting and imo defines the near-term future here !

When have polygon ever notified ahead of the deadline?

The number of shares Polygon would need to average down is staggering (yes not significant in £ to them)
If they held 18% at say a 170 average and then bought 2% (4mn shares) at 20p it only brings their average to 155p

To get their average to say 60p (boxers chance) they'd need to bring their holding above 60%.

Would be a huge positive (in this new landscape) sign if Polygon issue a Tr1 tomorrow.

Pretty sure he said a mid 6 figure paper loss today.
190 does sound like a flight of fancy but a takeover is much more likely in the short term now.

Hi Doc, if Polygon have doubled down it should give a sign that there is life here and I think would push the sp significantly north of here, big if though.
Completely agree we will have TR1s in the next days and I'm holding until they land.
Otherwise appetite has well and truly gone, I'd decided to sell at 40p this morning after a bounce of sorts - yet again greed on my part results in inaction.
