The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
It took a while for the penny to drop yesterday that we still have a little way to go before we cross the finish line. One thing I believe we can safely say is that the blockage is now clear and it will be straight forward from here on out. I would be surprised to see the SP drop back too far but even if it does, It won't be for long !
You're right MBW it was Macarthur not Hasting, I got that wrong. What I do remember clearly was watching the value of my KDNC shares increase by £35k, sadly I also clearly remember watching them return to their original value the day after !!! I'm 100% sure that history will NOT repeat itself when we get the 20% news
In March 2019 we had a 200% spike because Hastings announce an off take agreement. Today's announcement is transformational for Cadence yet the SP is struggling to make the highs of the summer. I would have thought that the volume of trades would justify a higher price, do we think the market is holding back for some reason ?
I'll concede that one Mike, when used instead of "yes" it does work and I may have been a bit hasty in that statement, however, Kiran's use of it is still mostly wrong. I've noticed another oddity recently. Generally, "the" is pronounced as "thee" when the following word starts with a vowel and most of us do it without thinking about it but I've noticed people getting this wrong and it sounds weird, Ben Fogel does it all the time. Sorry, bit off topic lol
Just to put the record straight from my perspective,
I spent about half an hour talking with Kiran after the AGM in 2017 and I was really impressed by him. He is clearly a very intelligent man who certainly knows what he's talking about, I'm definitely a fan. However, picking up on the odd mannerism or nervous hesitation does not detract from what he says as far as I'm concerned, I just have an old fashioned dislike of the misuse of the English language and I'm not sure the response to a question can ever start with the confirmation, "absolutely", that's all.
Kiran has been quoted on here many times, this is very much out of his hands and in the hands of the banks legal teams. As with all legal processes, it takes time, lots of it. On the upside the courts appear to be losing patience with the banks and the project is progressing well regardless with the courts blessing. I believe the simple answer to your question is yes, Amapa will happen but that's just my opinion obviously, when is not so obvious
