Offering a decent 4.3 per cent dividend yield, and with the board committing to a near 50 per cent rise in the payout in 2015, the shares offer a chunky income stream. There are prospects of earnings growth too as the company is exposed to the recovering repair, maintenance and improvement (RMI), new build property and social housing sectors. Trading on around 10 times earnings estimates, the shares are an attractive way of playing the ongoing UK economic recovery and housing market boom.

Not bad for a company whose current share price of 52p gives a market capitalisation of a mere £167m.
