I find referendoms are only advisory when you are on the losing side. The argument that most leavers will be dead very soon is a disgrace. Those are the very people that allow you to vote in the first place. Please place an exact figure on those remainers that abstained and those leavers that abstained if you can. It is all a terrible mess that if not rectified will destroy our democracy. Remainers don't care of course just hope their opponents will die? I voted remain.
