Roundtable Discussion; The Future of Mineral Sands. Watch the video here.
Well, I am so much under water with that one that my exposure has become very small and it is not even worth selling, keeping it for tax reasons only for later. It looks like falling back to 6p, a bargain for some Russian oligarch, I don't expect anything from this falling knife.
Further downside until year end for gold price. They are crashing gold price with paper, capping it at $1800 to try to kill the narrative of inflation. No wonder everyone has gone into crypto. Not much to expect until 2022. I keep building drypowder.
I am not giving any advice, certainly not. However I 'd disagree with your point of view in general as thereafter only people who are biased, unwilling to take their loss, write on the forum. It is more difficult to discuss a more balanced view. Meanwhile enjoy the slide
Gold and silver prices are so manipulated, options expiry or reporting date (today). You cannot win against bullion banks. I wait for a small rebound in July and I will close all my positions. I did well exiting Hochschild early, I will keep only Barrick Gold
It is simple market manipulation before option expiry, 30th June reporting date and Basel III. Increase in interest rates in 2023....lol! Powell will be gone by then and Kamala Harris president will run huge deficits. There is nothing else to expect, it is very bleak and we need to focus on preserving wealth.
I sold early at 185. I won't buy back until Castillo cannot pass his constitutional reforms or we know how much the extra tax is. I won't buy back this year, too much of a gamble
I sold all this morning, I have enough nut cases in my portfolio, including Petropavlovsk. I usually get lucky (Acacia mining) but here I smell communism and Venezuela all around. I 'd rather wait outside and see. If it is better than expected, I could come back later, in a few months, even if I have to pay more. Meanwhile there are other miners outside Latin America, the opportunity cost (not only losses) could become enormous if gold shoots up this summer.
I am out, I sold my entire stake, -17% loss. I 'd rather take my loss early than seeing the SP falling down regularly until full collapse. There are many other miners there and I think Peru is going to follow Argentina, Bolivia or even Venezuela. Nothing good to expect here. I will use the loss to offset my realised gains for tax and transfer the amount to the equity ISA. I still don't know with which gold miner to replace it.
