Kev, maybe a naive question to which I ought to know the answer. How did you hear about the placing/warrant offer? I have been an investor here for around 7 years and never been offered a chance to participate in a placing. As I was buying around the sub .3 point I would almost certainly have taken up the offer had I known about it. I have been invested in other comps where ordinary shareholders have been offered openly.
Thanks Tro. So, is RC used to get a quick estimate of whether it is worth getting a diamond core sample in a particular location?
A quick web search has educated me on the difference between 'diamond core' and 'reverse circulation' drilling. Clearly if WRES are using both there must be a reason for this. Does anyone know the reasons why one or the other is used for a particular individual drill hole?
It's changed its name to 'Tungsten Ore Benefication'
A couple of thoughts occurred to me overnight. Could it be that the Company feel that the camera is giving speculators and competitors too much information? It might be in the interests of the share price to keep them guessing about the exact start date of the ramp up to full production. An alternative could be that, were there to be a dispute about contract completions, it might not be in the interests of either or both of the companies to have the potential evidence made quite so public. Just random thoughts, I have no information.
I seem to have somehow been diverted to a discussion group of the Daily Express
Bobtree, just for the record, I said that the share price would be depressed, not that the share price wouldn't change.
My fear is that, if that is true, the share price will remain depressed until then. One thing that is pretty certain is that, once dividends are paid, the market cap will be at least 20x the total annual payout. Until then the price will be determined by expectation and speculation and the evidence so far is that the market, for whatever reason, doesn't like this company. Although production will help enormously, many big investors are only interested in guaranteed regular payouts. Don't get me wrong, I am heavily invested here and hope for the best but I fear that many of the short term predictions for the share price are over optimistic.
Bit of confusion here between the debt and the deficit. The deficit has been reduced by austerity measures although nowhere near as much as was promised by Osborne in 2010, However it is still positive, i.e. we still borrow money each year (the deficit) to finance the economy - £40 billion last financial year. Meanwhile, as a result, the debt continues to grow, currently around £1,800 billion.
Devil, if nobody invested in a company on potential but always waited until there was money in the bank from production, the whole capitalist system would never have got off the ground. Fortunately there are those who are willing to take risks and reap the rewards if things go to plan. You may prefer to put your money into low yield established enterprises but some of us prefer otherwise. The trick is to pick the potential winners and many here believe this is one.

open 0.535 close 0.525 so drop = (0.525-0.535)*100/0.535 = -1.87% Simples! :-)
Franny, remember 'Come Outside' with Mike Sarne?
I know it is off topic but I value the opinion of some of you guys here. I watched the proactive presentation this morning and was prompted to do a little bit of research on SML. They have a US magnetite operation that brings in a few million $. Also an Australian copper operation which they say has existing processing plant and could restart in 2019 with a potential income of $14m pa. Also a couple of blue sky tin (Cornwall) and Nickel (Aus) projects. They appear to have little debt and seem to say they can fund the copper operations from the US income. Seems interesting at first sight, any thoughts? There doesn't seem to be any overlap with people who post here and the SML board.

Rolls in, rolls in, oh, how the money rolls in, rolls in
Rolls in, rolls in, oh, how the money rolls in
If we're doing quotes on democracy - one of my very favourites
“As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.” H.L.Menken 1926
I liked Sid. He might have posted painfully obvious comments but he was totally harmless and never took offence in spite of people taking the p**s. I've just got back from the pub, a couple of pints and I feel much better - particularly as today's rise has been maintained at close.
Feeling better already ;-)
Devil, nobody is going to buy or sell on the basis of a 'tick up' or 'tick down' post. What I'm saying is your recent post could have no intention other than to gloat. And yes, I am feeling worried and sensitive about what, for me, is a very big investment. What is it that is wrong with your life that you feel the need to be nasty to people?
