Newcastle coal futures traded near a 2-year low of $130 per tonne, driven by concerns of oversupply from India and Indonesia, despite rising demand from China. In June, China's daily coal production rebounded to an average of 13 million metric tons, up from a 6-month low of 12.43 million metric tons in May, as a heatwave boosted coal consumption for electricity generation. Also, some mines in Inner Mongolia might resume operations after being shut down since March for safety improvement measures, potentially providing a further boost to coal production in the coming months. China's peak summer power demand typically starts in late June and lasts for two months. With the heatwave ongoing and energy requirements remaining high, coal consumption for electricity generation is anticipated to remain robust during the summer months.
$130 Jun...now $142 and climbing.
Or should I say Tom Winnifrith?

Determining the Fair Value of Rights Shares
"TERP plays a vital role in determining the fair value of rights shares. By projecting the share price post-rights issue, it allows the company and investors to establish a fair price for the new shares."
So chaps, I ask again. When will we, as shareholders, see the fair price, as quoted by TUI, for our shares?
May I respectfully ask you as to why the TERP was ever used? It appears that the boys in Hannover were ramping the share price prior to the RI and used this to get an almost half priced sale of shares into the market. When do you think that we will see the TERP figure reached? In my very simple mind, what was initially stated in their prospectus is an almost fraudulent figure.
Difficult for day traders to earn a crust.
A fascinating analysis about Deuteschland and unfortunately, I concur with some of the criticism. Last week, and I am Germany based, I went to an estate agent about a property. Within 1 minute the receptionist was screaming at me as the house I was talking about hadn't been placed on the system. And. It was an American owned estate agent! And this article talks about a hostile environment for foreigners.
Odd.
last trade printed at 90p. I can now buy at 84.8! WTF?
I just wonder how many of the placement shares have bee traded? Still a decent margin to be had if they have not been sold yet and no doubt every slight rise will be used by traders to dump their positions. It has come down quickly, but as today showed, if the selling stops for a while, then the bulls take over and up she goes.
Too good to miss...so I bought a handful more at 88.24.
Agreed that the spread is discouraging sellers, but surely our pals the MMs wish to create a market? So why have the Ask so high? Baffles me.
Walkies...please define what, to you, is a LTH? And thanks for your expert analysis as to how the stock market works. I have much to learn. 🤔
Infinity...thanks for sharing that UTube link. Some good analysis there.
And it is a trip back to 120!
Grumble... two lots bought at 97.5 and 98. GLA
MMs appear to be gobbling up sells but keeping the ask firmly at 98.
