Here is there reply-Must say very prompt and tookt he tme to update things.
Thank you for contacting us about this article.
The meaning of the terms 'conventional' and 'non-conventional' in oil drilling are highly contentious (http://www.frackfreesussex.co.uk/about/#whatisacidising). Although UKOG is not (yet, protesters claim) using traditional sand and water hydraulic fracturing at the sites, it is using processes involving the injection of acids to stimulate oil flow in what used to be known in the industry as an 'acid frack'. Protesters point out (http://www.frackfreesussex.co.uk/wealdactiongroup/) that acidising "uses far higher concentrations of chemicals than [sand and water] fracking, and brings similar risks for local people, animals and the environment."
We do not therefore believe it is significantly inaccurate or misleading to refer to "fracking sites", in context, but we have slightly amended the text as a goodwill gesture.
I trust that this is of assistance.
Yours sincerely,
Andy King
