Shares in Reabold Resources PLC (RBD.LN) rose Monday after it said work on four wells in the Monroe Swell area, California, is underway and showing initial signs of success.

The oil-and-gas company said that the four-well workover program, which includes the Doud A-1, A-2, A-3 and A-7 wells, has started, with pumping units installed at all four locations.

The company holds a 50% equity interest in the wells, following its acquisition of Gaelic Resources Ltd. in June.

Well intervention work has taken place on the A-3 and A-1 wells with significant oil shows at both wells, Reabold Resources said.

The company said that the A-3 well has been put on production, soon to be followed by the A-1 well, after which intervention work will begin on the A-2 and A-7 wells.

Shares at 0806 GMT were up 10% at 0.80 pence.

of 2.6p, but believe the share price should increase as California is
derisked and potential cash flow generation commences. We are also
entering an extremely busy drilling period, commencing in August, which
could be transformational for Reabold. We reiterate our BUY
recommendation.

Increase in Land Position

Great Western Mining (AIM: GWMO and ESM: 8GW) announces an approximate 30% increase in the land position of the M2-Sharktooth prospect with the addition of 66 unpatented claims to the Eastern and South-Eastern flank of Black Mountain. The new claims secure a highly prospective extension to the M2-Sharktooth zone, providing both an enlarged potential operational footprint and future access for mine development on the eastern side of the mountain.

The Company has also increased its land position on the western side of Black Mountain and the M4 prospect with the addition of 32 unpatented claims. These new claims, in conjunction with the 10 new claims added to the M8 prospect at the turn of the year, have increased the overall land position held by Great Western Mining in Mineral County, Nevada by approximately 12% to 1004 unpatented claims. These claims now cover a total land area of approximately 81.75 square kilometres.

Chief Executive, David Fraser commented: "We are very pleased to have completed this timely extension to our claim areas at M2 and M4 as our drill programmes for both prospects are now in full swing, with the first assay results imminent. The recent share placing has allowed us to plan an extension to the current drilling on M2-Sharktooth so as to investigate further the mineralised and highly prospective breccia encountered in drill hole M2-041. We have been very encouraged by the drilling to date and look forward to updating shareholders with the first results and analysis as soon as available."

I am as confused as you. Especially as the second half of the year is likely to be good for the company and the price is way too low at present. Everything suggests price should be rising?+
