RE: RBD Code 231 Mar 2020 12:31
Good to hear that you are ok, please do get in touch if that changes. I too am indulging in an evening beer or vodka/coke where possible.
Thank you for asking, stockmarket aside.
It has been emotionally draining tbh, this whole thing. Apologies for the moan that is coming - I have relatives who have the virus (they have mild symptoms). I have parents who are on immune suppressants or have asthma. My sister and her husband work for the NHS and private hospitals. And because I had lots of lung issues and ongoing tests I am unable to go and do things for them. Which is frustrating. Sometimes it is hard to not be able to see or give a hug to the people that are important to you at a time when they need it.
Other people that I care about have been furloughed and have to sit at home without the social circles they are used to. But I guess I am the same as chunk of people.
The good news is that I have seen my family, cousins, aunts, uncles, etc, become closer. I am talking via the internet to elderly neighbours and we are providing support for each other. I also have a virtual pub with the guys I used to have a drink with. If anyone reading this is unsure how to set WhatsApp on their phone up I wrote out instructions here https://www.techsnail.com/what-is-whatsapp-and-how-do-i-install-it-complete-guide/
I am seeing a lot of good come out of this situation not only here but around the world. It is a shame that it took a disease for the world to stand together, but I am happy that we are.
